Forward pass by De Allende, Lions scrum…. 6m outside the Stormers 22.
@ Just For Kicks: agree absolutely. And good evening.
Drop Goal by Jantjies… overrrr!
Lions 29 / 22 Stormers
3 Minutes left to play…
Klein Careltjie makes a massive hash right in front of his posts… very, very attacking Lions scrum!
Lions deserve the win tonight, they have taken their chances well.
Still, the Stormers played well, and a great game to watch
Wow. Great kick by Faf.
Lions could really bury the Stormers here…
Stormers scrum, 93m from the goal line they want…
Pleesae not a draw.
Time is up on the clock
2 Stormers penalties in a row…
Stormers lineout near the Lions 22…
Sjoe, what a game!
Fantastic work by Faf de Klerk… tackles, rips the ball… and it’s all over, folks!
What a flipping advert for SA Rugby.

well congratulations Lions fans. That was a game to remember for sure. MOM = Faf. I’d think.

He’s a little terrier, that one!
It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog!
this game had everything. Topped off by some fantastic ball skills and interpassing. What a pleasure to see coming out of SA rugby. Dare I say it: for a change. We’ve become so used to watching utter crap from SA teams. This was 80 mins non-stop high quality entertainment.
So many players stood out tonight…
Elton Jantjies, Rohan Janse van Rensburg, Warwick Tecklenburg, Franco Mostert (my choice), Faf de Klerk!
Elton Jantjies gets the official award.
@ grootblousmile: no truer words said. Lets hope AC adopts the attitude in complete contrast to HM’s size and power password to entry.
Well, that was a super weekend of Super Rugby!!
Marvelous stuff all round!
We saw some absolutely wonderful rugby this weekend!
@ grootblousmile: Well he did have a great game and arguably popped over that drop to almost seal the game beyond my team’s grasp when he did it. But Faf was immense from the minute he came on. But I’ll settle for Jantjies as the MOM. He’s just played himself into that green jersey for sure. And they can start measuring some off-cuts to fashion a jersey for Faf too.
I must say, let’s not write off the Stormers part in this game.
If the Boks can play with the attitude of the DA sides this weekend they will be unbeatable.
146 @ Scrumdown:
SA, not DA.
okay I’m off boys and girls. Need some shuteye for an early rise tomorrow. Cheers all. That was a bloody good bedtime tonic.
145 @ Tassies:
Those 2 as a combination, make things happen!
And credit to Faf, his defence was always suspect but he has worked very hard at it…
Good weekend for south african teams… Maybe the announcement of the new coach helped.
