Ag, I think it’s a mixture of everything PLUS maybe the fact that I have been working so hard on my other business interests and neglecting general rugby news here on R-T in the week leading up to the weekend’s rugby.
After all, I only have 2 hands, 2 eyes, 2 ears… and making money comes wayyyyyyyyyyy first before enjoyment!
Joe Pietersen slots a penalty for the Sharks to get them on the board.
Sharks 3 / 13 Lions
Something that really bugs me is this refusal by so many SA sides to even try to understand the most basic laws of rugby. Sharks breaking every rule in the book, but convinced they are above the law. Stupid mentality is never going to win you a trophy.
Understanding the laws and stretching them a la McCaw, now thats a different kettle of fish, but the Sharks are not doing that here, it is just a lack of basic understanding. I wonder what the collective IQ of the Sharks team is now that Doc Dup. has gone?
Eish, Joe
33 @ Just For Kicks:
Hahaha
You mean to say the collective IQ has not lifted since Doc Jannie and Bissie left?
Hell, that is a serious indictment against the Sharks….
Talking about that… Gary Gold is also not the sharpest pencil in the packet, I think!
Lions attacking scrum, 5 or 6m out.
Marcell Coetzee stretchered off with what looks like a leg injury.
Another Lions 5m scrum penalty, collapsing!
I see a Yellow Card soon for the Sharks!
… and possibly a Penalty Try, soon!
35 @ grootblousmile:I reckon the IQ may have dropped by a substantial amount since they left – purely an assumption looking at how they play.
Yes, Gold is certainly not the loudest cracker in the fireworks display, thats for sure!
Growthpoint Kings Park crowd is quite silent… as the arm goes out again for penalty advantage at the scrum.
Try Lionel Mapoe?
Double Movement?
TMO
Good defence but Lions looking too good at the moment
Excellent try
He was not held, that is for sure…
Should be, anyway, he wasn’t held in the tackle
Niiiicce
Try is indeed awarded to Lionel Mapoe!
Watsonians 7/0 Melrose quarterfinal is a few minutes old sorry didn’t see who won the previous one between Jed Forest and Belgium
Sharks 3 / 18 Lions
Lions simply just out-thinking the Sharks, collectively!
Sharks still have no understanding of the basics. A serious bunch of farktards. Gold, you need a few school lessons at training
Phweeeew, basic, basic knock by the Sharks… give that man a basket!
Coenie die Boef subbed by Lourens Adriaanse!
They’ve brought Coenie off because, I reckon, he was about 5 minutes away from a card.
Halftime Watsonians 12/17 Melrose
Sharks scrum penalty… slotted by Joe Pietersen!
Sharks 6 / 18 Lions

…. and immediately the Sharks scrum improved…
Coenie is a hasbeen… or even a never-been!

@ grootblousmile:
I guess that eventually the collective “quasi management” of RT have to decide if and how we take the site to the next level.
At the end of the day, we all have jobs to do that put food on our tables and unfortunately that has had an impact on RT and the website traffic.
Generally I think we have all scaled down our involvement. Not through choice, but through necessity and circumstance.

Springbok tight head prop!
Ahh shame Watsonians kicker misses an easy conversion at the end so it goes to extra time 24/24 Watsonians did so well to get two quick tries near the end to pull themselves back into the game
