USA Rugby is seeking applicants for the position of head coach for their national team after Mike Tolkin’s contract came to an end.
Following the expiration Tolkin’s contract, a comprehensive review of the USA Eagles program and 2015 Rugby World Cup performance has led to the national governing body of Rugby in the United States opening the application process on a global level.
“We reviewed the program in great detail following the Rugby World Cup in England last month and concluded that we should invite interested coaches to apply for the role and widen the search further than the current Eagles coaching team,” said Nigel Melville, CEO USA Rugby.
A panel consisting of Melville, Performance Director Alex Magleby and former USA Eagle Dan Payne will review the prospective applicants and make a recommendation to the USA Rugby Board.
All applications will be considered, including that of Mike Tolkin should he choose to re-apply for position of head coach.
USA Rugby expects to make a decision on the selection of their new Men’s Eagles head coach in December 2015.

💡 Go for it Pieter de Villiers!!
1 @ bos_otter:
Surely USA wants a good coach?
Then Peter “snorrie” de Villiers would not qualify!
@ grootblousmile:
lol, just trying to get him away from us….as far as possible
3 @ bos_otter:
Hahaha
That previous coach of theirs looks like a real Boy Scout, your typical all American male who should be named Tod or something.
I can just imagine Snorre livening and lighting up the U.S. Of A as if every day is 4th of July.
Then again, compared to the likes of Bush he will come across as a genius
