@ grootblousmile: Yes and you can add the World Cup to that too. They need to change. Eddie will do that for England I suspect.

I was very miffed at last night’s game…
OK there were some tries, and Sarries got their bonus point, but my point is, it was the type of game, the over-emphasis on scrums and barging into players, Poite’s freegin refereeing and just a few glimpses of creativity in the backlines.
Brad Barrit was not a centre, he was a stampkar…
Owen Farrell tried a few things and made a few breaks…
Ruan Pienaar was super slow… the Slow-motion donkey!
… and so I can go on….

121 @ Tassies:
It is not only the Northern Hemisphere sides who need to change… we in South Africa (Unions, Franchises & Springboks) need to as well, as we are stuck somewhere between Northern and Southern Hemisphere rugby…. not good at the one and not good at the other either.
@ grootblousmile: Seen it. Know it. I am so aware of this crap that I drive like an old fart these days. Even on the open road. I make sure I’m not in a hurry and the music is primed. My 4lit monster just purrs along at the speed limit and only gets angry when I need to overtake a big truck on a hill. Then its quite enjoyable I have to confess. The youngsters don’t want to understand the dangers. Which is so stressful for us oldies. My boy’s off to Knysna monday to do an audit. I shit myself even though he’s fairly sensible.
Nice try by Joe Rokocoko, Racing!
@ grootblousmile: agree with that. Goode at FB wasn’t too shabby either as was the No 12 Taylor (I think). Great off-load.
125 @ Tassies:
I can’t fuddy-duddy around behind a steering wheel… I drive fast.
I am always just a few minutes late, or busy… so I have to catch up time somehow… and my Blik Met Wiele is not shy to run… 6 cylinders, Motorsport Model… heavy foot!

@ grootblousmile: The Lions are the exception. Otherwise you’re right. The Springboks play crap, boring rugby at the best of times. Ditto the Sharks, Bulls, Stormers, Cheats etc. I’ve been very disappointed with the style of rugby we play recently. Eddie Jones was our big hope and things were looking bright. This week was a massive letdown for this man. Our rugby is stuck in the past and its not working. Someone needs to take a shirt collar and shake it hard.
@ grootblousmile: I can imagine. I’m now the opposite. I ditched my Audi for that reason. Changed to Toyota. Good move I tell you. Love it.
130 @ Tassies:
Well, Franco Smith should make the Cheetahs play attacking rugby.
The Bulls have the makings in their back 3 and centres to play attacking rugby… and maybe a coach who could lean towards a balanced game
The Lions need to carry their game through successfully to Super Rugby… the positive signs are there for us to see.
Maybe Robert du Preez is a breeze of fresh air at the Sharks, his Leopards played a very attacking type of game, as did Pukke in Varsity Cup.
The Stormers have the attacking material in the backline… Kolbe, Senatla, Kobus van Wyk, Juan de Jongh, De Allende…. now they need a coach to unlock it!
I have a curry on the burner. And it’ll be ready shortly. So bear with me. It needs to be consumed and I’ll be otherwise occupied for a while. Just need to fry up the papadums quickly and we’re done. Curry-making is a stress-reliever for this man. Specifically on saturdays.
131 @ Tassies:
I am generally bad with time management and the industry I am in dictates that a bloody PC has it’s own idea of time… so I tend to fall behind with my time schedules, then I try to make up for it.
Too perfectionist in what I do also, so I often overdo and over-achieve… once again not good for my bloody time schedule!
Then I suddenly need to be at 4 suppliers in record time, with few minutes to spare.
It becomes a vicious circle, unfortunately.

133 @ Tassies:
My son and I had a good braai this afternoon… marinated pork ribs, honey glazed rashers, roosterkoek and a mixed salad.
Was a late lunch, so I’m still full up….
Racing with a bonus point try, just before halftime.
Impressive!

Does anyone know where Ewan Mckenzie is these days? Maybe the Stormers should make an offer.
139 @ MacroPolo:
Somehow I doubt the Stormers would want him, after the hash he made of the Wallabies.
There are very few 2nd chances for coaches in top flight rugby.
2nd Half ON in the Racing Metro / Scarlets game
Bernard le Roux cops a Red Card for a stomp
Scores unchanged after 13 minutes in the 2nd half
Try Scarlets, the fullback… in the left corner

@ grootblousmile: Yip. I understand the syndrome. You are listing the usual signs. I am the same. But I’m not in IT. But then again its not industry driven. Its a human condition and I know it well. Many entrepreneurs suffer from same. Its why many of us are unemployable. Today its labelled ADD and it’s often ridiculed or attracts negative connotations. Richard Branson is an ADD club member. IQ’s are usually high. We’re in good company it seems.
Another Card for Racing Metro… a Yellow to Ben Tamaifuna… down to 13 men
@ grootblousmile: sounds good. Weather’s crap in CT today. Braai’s not an option. Good conditions for curry though. 😀
Racing Metro 26 / 12 Scarlets
@ grootblousmile: all true. The step up is for the players to make attacking rugby a habit and leave the natural kicking boot in the changing-room locker. Our player have been too quick to drop the ball onto the boot as the first instinct.
