Following the completion of discussions between EPCR, the Ligue Nationale de Rugby, Premiership Rugby and PRO12 Rugby to reschedule the six European club matches which were postponed due to the Paris attacks, it has been agreed by all parties that the games will be played on the weekend of 8 – 10 January 2016 in advance of Round 5 of the European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup.
EPCR would like to thank the 3 leagues and all the clubs involved for their collaboration and understanding during the rescheduling process.
The decision to play the postponed games on the 2nd weekend in January means that the Round 13 fixtures in the TOP 14 will now be played later in the season, as will the following Round 12 fixtures in the Guinness PRO12: Ulster vs Newport Gwent Dragons, Zebre vs Glasgow Warriors, and Cardiff Blues vs Munster.
The Aviva Premiership Rugby Round 9 match between Bath and Sale Sharks, which was due to be played on Friday 8 January 2016, will also take place later in the season on a date to be announced.
The new exact dates, kick-off times and television coverage of the 5 Champions Cup fixtures and 1 Challenge Cup match will be announced as soon as possible.
Postponed matches rescheduled for 8 – 10 January 2016:
- Champions Cup – Round 1: Oyonnax vs Ulster, Racing 92 vs Glasgow Warriors, Bordeaux-Bègles vs ASM Clermont Auvergne, RC Toulon vs Bath. Round 2: Stade Francais Paris vs Munster
- Challenge Cup – Round 1: Pau vs Castres Olympique
Latest PRO12 scores:
Glasgow Warriors 3/3 Treviso
Edinburgh 13/3 Newport Gwent Dragons
Leinster 3/3 Ulster
About 6 min to go until half time
Dragons get a penalty within kicking distance
Edinburgh 13/6 Dragons as it is over
Try by WP NEL! But they are checking for a possible double movement by Nel, looks good to me
They should play it in real speed as the slow motion makes it looks less like the try it is
AG NO! Called double movement by NEL and he is penalized, TMO and ref collude to decide after Nel was tackled he propelled himself by using his elbow on the way to scoring, oh well ref is always right.
Dragons have got away with only being 7 points behind at halftime at Murrayfield. Edinburgh have looked very good at times but just struggled to finish off some neat moves. The disallowed try would have been WP’s 2nd try of the night. Hope Edinburgh can put the disappointment behind them and go on to play well and score 3 more tries in the 2nd half and win the game.
Latest PRO12 scores:
Glasgow Warriors 3/6 Treviso
Edinburgh 20/6 Newport Gwent Dragons
Leinster 8/3 Ulster
Dragons are down to 13 they were down to 12 for the briefest of moments before the 1st prop who got a yellow card came back on, 2nd prop yellowed still off, and Dorian Jones also off not long ago for a tip tackle looked a bit harsh.
Edinburgh were very strong in the scrums so much so that the Dragons starting loosehead prop got a yellow card then a few scrums later the replacement loosehead also got a yellow card. Became a farce as then it went to uncontested scrums so negating a strong point for Edinburgh. Contested scrums again now as the 1st prop to go off is back on…
Will put the final scores up later, COME ON GLASGOW
Final score- Glasgow Warriors 13/6 Treviso , phew that was too close for comfort
Glasgow were trailing 3/6 until they scored a try in the 72nd min which was converted
Edinburgh 32/13 Dragons – Edinburgh got the bonus point win in the end as Matt Scott went over for the 4th try a few minutes from the end.
WP Nel was man of the match was nice to catch the last part of him being interviewed.
Final score- Leinster 8/3 Ulster
