Hey Piet. Skalla was very consistant i felt all 80 min Worked hard ran hard covered well, so he was ok

Wales defence, specially against our big ball carriers was fantastic…
Eben and Lood went nowhere today, whereas in other games they got well over the advantage line, time after time.
Not that either Lood or Eben had bad games, they were just effectively cut down.

He definitely came into his own in the second half, where he was able to make decisions. I just felt he was playing to a set plan in the 1st half. Re Pollard, please, please, please HM don’t change him for next week, we are just, finally starting to get a settled team now. We need to put our faith in them, even if they are inexperienced. If anything, and I apologise to out Natalian friends, drop Lambie off the bench if Steyn must come in, but keep the starting line up the same, barring injury, that is
Was a good game becuase it was close, and we won but was no rugby spectacle.
I would not show this game to any aliens visiting earth.

Agree wholeheartedly!

They were definitely marked men as well – I thought that the locks, Burger and Habs (to a degree) were all marked men today.

I would, it would chase them away quick quick!

That’s my girl.
Looking forward to the next quarter-final. Today the Boks were below par but still came out on top. A fierce match like today may be the ideal preparation for a semi against the AB’s by all accounts. Can’t see France winning tonight.
427 @ Just For Kicks:
I thought Adriaan Strauss made quite an impact, he got over the advantage line quite a number of times!
422: Louw ook stil, so ook Bismark. Hopelik rus hul vir NZ ?

Too true But i think the Haka will do the trick.
So….An Englishman and an Welshman walks into a bar….
@ Pietman:
Lewis Moody in the SS studio said that Schalla was industrious throughout. And that’s one loose forward commenting on another.
@ Ben-die-Bul:
NZ? France 🙂
Daardie drie van FDP, was soos Makou se drie teen ons op Ellispark, Wallis lekker aan die slaap gevang.
@ Pietman:
> “And here I was thinking Schalla had a kuk game! Just shows you, you cannot believe everything you read on RT”
Probably smart to not believe everything one reads on RT, but Man of the Match or not, I think he had a pretty forgetable game. What irritated me most was his old tendency to run right into tackles in an upright body position. Add the odd stupid penalty to that, and it is hard to see why he was chosen as Man of the Match.
Having said all that, I guess one should just be thankful for the win…
I think I have died and gone to heaven………
@ grootblousmile:
Yes, Strauss had a good game… on the day, I think he was better than Bismark.
Percy Montgomery has just replied to me on Facebook,
I AM IN TOTAL SHOCK !!!

Willie looked like he was getting a bit of form back too
Thank god Fourie du Preez was kept on for the full 80 minutes. And that we didn’t have to suffer Ruan Pienaar.
@ Blue Bird:
You’re kidding. He must have an eye for a nice bird.
@ Just For Kicks:
> “Re Pollard, please, please, please HM don’t change him for next week, we are just, finally starting to get a settled team now”
Agree, I’d also stick with Pollard. In fact, I’d just stick with the entire starting team, even though some of the players did not exactly set the world on fire. Continuity is key from here on.
@ Blue Bird:
He secretly loves you Carol 🙂

Miracles do happen!
Pas kort replay gekyk….hoe goed was Bisdy om North van agter te vang kort by die lyn in die 3e minuut….try saver!
