Looking at the replay of that try it looked a well coached move. Pity we had to use it today, teams will be analysing and noting that one, still they had to get this win to get further anyway.

The Welsh can hold their heads high. I know they are gutted. But they made the Boks sweat until the end.
As for the Boks. If you thought today was tough. Wait till next week. Can’t wait.

I feel lucky to be a Bok supporter as I get to still follow a team when all my friends and family have lost their interest!! 🙂

Didn’t see who they announced on TV as man of match?

@ Pietman: Re Schalla – I don’t know what others think, I though that he a a pretty solid game, was heavily marked though, as was Eben, who also wasn’t allowed to shine tonight, but also solid until subbed. Just don’t think that the Welsh realised that Thor was on the field – the Silent Assassin tonight, thats for sure!

Think all the Bok players were good with some just having a few bad moments.

The game plan in the first half sucked big balls.

    Not yet

Hey, nice touch. Francois Piennar is now wearing Gareth Thomas red Welsh tie in the commentary studio.

    @ Just For Kicks:
#377 yip the ball didn’t seem to flow through their hands to our wings but to me the weak link in the backline were our half backs

  • 404

I thought Skalk had a decent game, Vermeulen a much better 2nd half and Alberts did make an impact

Bully – Schalk Burger named Man of the Match

See I told you, the English food has made a man of him!! 😉

Fourie du Preez redeemed himself a bit with that try in the end but will we see Lambie starting at flyhalf next week with Morne Steyn on the bench. The missed kicks aside didn’t think Pollard varied his game enough and made it easier for Wales to defend against but then if forwards are taking the ball in the backline so much it must make it hard for the flyhalf

  • 408

We still kick away good ball too much and when kicked they are not good kicks.
We look good with ball in hand and building up phases but need to protect the tackle ball a bit better.

Haha, probably, although, does a doner kebab count as english food?

Heyneke Meyer almost tore his riempie when Fourie du Preez went over for the try!

  • 411

Hey what’s all this second guessing from mr, we won the game time to bask in the win.
My girls are waiting for me, cheers all enjoy the rest of the nights rugby. Bye

I agree totally, it’s not that I am against kicking per se, its just that if you are going to kick, you have to get it right. We are just too inconsistent in that department compared to the AB’s and the Welsh. 2nd half is where we showed our strength.

  • 415

Think FdP is not at his best, he mixes the good with the bad but still more good overall. Pollard had a decent game with no major mistakes.
    Same team for next week.

Wow! And here I was thinking Schalla had a kuk game! Just shows you, you cannot believe everything you read on RT! Happy-Grin

  • 417

Wales defended bloody well in the 2nd half… they were under the kosh for large parts of it, Bokke came close many times, but critical turnovers cost the Bokke… they will have to be more clinical!

I don’t think Schalk had a particularly good game, but I guess I must have overlooked something. Would rather have given it to Duane – only started to hit form in the second half, but once he got going, he was good. That offload to FdP was sublime.

Like I said, I thought he had a pretty solid game, just heavily marked

Yeah, I definitely think that Duane deserved it today, he was a monster in every department. He’s got his mojo back just in time!
