I do however think, the better team on the day did win.
We still love French Rugby in this part of the World……………………………………………..and always will.
And they were not as bad as you might think they were.

It went the way it should have. 2 tries to 0 says what needs to be said. Only thing that kept SA in the game was that NZ made uncharacteristically many unforced errors in the first half.
Anyway, I’m off to the bar to go join that poor English chap and the rest of the 6 Nations gang. Enjoy the final against (I hope) the Argies;-)

@ nortie: I will have to agree with you Nortie. I’m pretty sure you were not willing the Boks to lose yesterday. But, like myself, I did not expect them to pull off a win either. As one would expect, with glass in hand, replica jersey on back, emotions out of control, I willed the Boks to win. They didn’t. Nursing a mild HO early this morning, I watched the game again. This time more focused on exactly how the 80 unfolded. The Boks played with a lot of commitment and passion as you’d expect. In the first half they were almost good, given what they’d been instructed to do. They led at the half. It must be said; the ABies hadn’t played particularly well in the first 40, making far too many errors for a team of their quality. However, we came out of the shed and played really predictable domkrag rugby made worse by far too many unforced errors. If we’d played the 2nd half like we’d played the first, then Meyer’s plan might have had a small chance of working. But that is a BIG ‘but’ because the Kiwis know how to change gear. We don’t. That’s that stereotype thing everyone finds problematic about our modern day rugby.
I watched the game at my school reunion and it seemed to go so quick….100 of us up still drinking after a mammoth session…
Now at home and watching the replay..the composure of the Abs shone through and the inability of the Bok to create real pressure with only 2 tackles the Abs had to make in their 22….but the Bok did create some scoreboard pressure… which made the game close….The Bok can start to build for next year and hope Meyer starts to get them to move the ball a bit more…
