The demise of NZ rugby, a favourite annua topic in the republic 😀

From my side it has nothing to do with the demise of your team, or refs favoring them or whatever.

I’m merely calling it like I see it, and IMO, the AB’s look poor at the moment. There is none of the class play we are used to, the breathtaking handling that we usually wish our players are capable of.

I’m of the opinion that they will be severely punished by the better opposition further on in the tournament if they don’t sharpen and shape up.

Maybe I’m wrong, they might still win the trophy whilst making so many unforced errors, and I will be happy if they do, I believe they are the worthy team to be called world champions just on their form since 2011.

The Island players are certainly magnificently athletic players… big buggers, almost without exception.

The lacking general cohesive play (because they do not get to play together year round), coupled to maybe some of the world’s “Throw-away” coaches… and a general lack of their national funding capabilities… will always work against them.

They do make wonderful export products though, as you’ve alluded to.

For instance, just check the Nakarawa article BullScot has placed… that just shows you!

    @ nortie:
NZ has a very difficult road from here on in Nortie.

    France or Ireland,
    then SA,
    then most likely Australia.

It cannot get tougher than that.

The whole show can stop next week.
The same applies to everyone…………………………………..except Australia. Who will get Scotland in the Quarters.
