You’re an arrogant prick, unfortunately backed up by a very good rugby side!

  • 242

    @ grootblousmile:

No arrogance Groot, but we take you next weekend and then beat the SA favourites Australia in the final. 30 points should see the yellow bellies bend over – Norty you seriously didn’t see this coming?

  • 243

    242 @ NZINCHINA:
See the AB’s smash the French coming?
Of course, most expected a NZ victory, some of us expected them to smash the French.

I didn’t expect a winning margin of 50 odd points, thought 20 to 25 or so.

Even with a loss to Japan, I have expected the Boks to make the semis and then lose to NZ, that is still on track.

I won’t discount Australia beating them in the final though

    @ NZINCHINA:

Don’t count your kiwis before they’re hatched:-)

  • 245

Good win..Abs had too much skill in the ball playing dept… exoect it to be closer next week…probably 6 pts in it

  • 246

Well done All Blacks. That voodoo certainly has now been broken.

See you next week in the semi final.

Awesome contest to look forward to.

Don’t worry! We won’t try to take Mc Caw out of the game like the Frogs did. Wink

“I also believe that with the players we have now, we have the ability to win the WC.”

Meaning of course: No Victor Matfield…no Jean de Villiers…

Isn’t that what the “non-Meyerites” have been calling for all along?

  • 248

1/7 for Hannetjie Meyer against the All Blacks. Can he make it 2/8?

I doubt it. He is wayyyyyyy to stupid to come up with a plan. As Charvis put it: One team will try to run into space…the other team will try to run into the opposition…

    Guess who’ll win…

  • 249

the smart money will be on the Abies to nail the Boks next saturday. We have heart left in the cupboard but that’s about it. That was not a great performance against the Tafs. But it did win the game, which is a good thing because we have a semi to look forward to. And then……that’s it.

  • 250

Of course the AB’s are the out and out favourites to win next week. They should go on and win the whole thing. It will be a shock if they don’t.

    But upsets happen.

What’s with this continuous “we this” and “we that”.

You are not an All Black. In fact, I would imagine you are nowhere close to even looking like a rugby player of any sort.

Why do I get this mental image of a scrawny, whiney, thick black-rimmed bespectacled kiwi who had to marry a chinese girl to avoid any physical mismatch?

Same bloke who crows when the AB’s are up but disappears without trace when the Blues collapse again?

    @ Charo:
    Hi Charo…long time no see.

    How are you doing?

I hope that what the “non-mereyrites” ‘have been calling for all along’ is a decent game plan. Personally I have no problem wit JdV. A great Captain, I am sure. Not an age thing, Smith & Nonu etc have proven that, JdV was simply not the best centre, and Meyer was in a dilemma – poor decision making makes for a poor coach. His injury was a blessing in disguise, and HM has been let off. Matfield a different story. If he believed he could make this world cup, he would never have retired. He did. Enough said. Injury has saved both his and HM’s hide. The docs loss of form has finally been realised.

Agree with your next comment, except, I am sure HM is not stupid.

    @ Nama:

    How’s he doing (charo) ?

A bit grumpy it would seem.

  • 255

    @ Charo:

Really “low” post that one charo.
I’m sure it must break one or two “Rules of The House”.

As for the “We” thing. Many of us do it.
Even a short, fat, balding, late middle aged sot, like myself.
It’s “we”, because they are Our Team.
    We love Them.
    We follow their fortune.
They come from our Towns and Cities.
We feel for them in good times and in bad.

No matter where you are from, no matter what your Team………………….. call them We……………………….is good. Take ownership. Feel the love.

Speaking of love, do you not approve of mixed marriages or something? Just asking?

  • 256

    @ cane:
what rules have been broken bud?
noodles is one of those spiteful little posters that sticks the knife in when the boks are down but goes missing when his team struggles.
and your post above is just as sanctimonious as your kiwi buddy – “mixed marriages”?
Little do you know smartarse – we have proper mixed marriages in our family – sorry to take the wind out of that little jab.

  • 257

    @ Charo:
I’m not sure what rules Charo, I’ve never read them.
But I thought this was “The Friendly Rugby Site”.
Not one where someone pokes a stick at you for having an Asian Bride. Or for referring to your team as Us or We.

As for “just as sanctimonious”, I’m glad you got the point. Good to hear there is a little spice in the Charo Clan too.

Whats got into you. From my recollection you used to be a really decent Poster, and not one to resort to character asassination.

Blokes like myself and Nama are one comment away from being banned from here (hence his asking after me yesterday) for various reasons but I suspect mainly because we are not blind followers of the Bok coach.

You are protecting noodles only because he is a fellow kiwi – no other reason.
In my view, the bloke is a lily-livered coward who makes inflammatory comments from behind a keyboard knowing that he can troll safely.
Comments questioning Saffa intelligence etc are unnecessary on this forum.
But carry on Cane, you back your boy – just ignore my posts if they upset you.

    @ Charo:
    Moer mekaar….it’s the season! Happy-Grin

  • 260

    @ Charo:
    I’m protecting on one Charo.

All I said, was that your Post 251 was low.

    And it is.

And you called me Sanctimonious,……………………………………..one of the nicest Titles I have been given, I might add.

  • 261

    Goodnight Campers,

    Now we are 4.
    Soon we will be two.

But I, ……………………………..and I assume most of you, are not the kind of people to take Pride in Our Hemisphere. (that’s for losers surely).

    I want a NZ/Arg Final.

    Grace Vs Grit.

  • 262

    @ cane:

    > “I want a NZ/Arg Final”

What you’re gonna get, though, is to sit in a bar with Paddy, Jock, Taffy, Gaston, and Crocodile Dundee, watching a SA/Arg final while sipping stale ale and getting flashbacks to 95. (If you’re lucky, there’ll be an open chair when you get there … the Englishman has been there so long by now that missus Limey will surely have dragged him home long before you arrive.)

In case I’m wrong, can someone please save the Englishman’s seat for me?

  • 263

    @ Cane,,,,, grace!!!!!

LMAO. As if the cynical plays and professional fouls and crafty little unseen touches that the NZ’rs do, to get away with the slight edge,
    represents any grace.

If NZ could get that out of their game. I would enjoy their otherwise brilliant play, and players.

It bothers me greatly,, that your players always try, and do, these things… Holding people back… making silly little efforts to influence the game being played.

It must stem from the great crook himself… One player doing that is already irritating… obviously since forever that Richie been the captain, that mindset is very much tolerated in the AB’s.

All I can conclude, is that your comment re grace… is said with the same type of irony, subtlety and humor intended in many of your other posts.

This weekend, let’s go with underdog Boks vs dishonest ABs then?

    😎

    What a rout !
and I was there to watch it…

at least the ratio £ spend per point is low…

I was among the booers of Saint André
still even us supporters are responsible when we applaude any new signing… at club level

    Sorry guys
we did not even bring a team either to play rugby or to fight
