Gooooooooo Ireland!
Think I must go catch a quick swim before the game…
100% behind friend Turky for this one!
Ireland to win, but I still stand united
@ Just For Kicks:
Ciao Kickers
Forza Italia!
Thanks for the support but have to agree that Ireland will most likely win.
OK, the last of the Anthems underway, that of Ireland!
Game ON!
Kick-Off by the Azzurri!
Go Ireland… just finish them off.
There are great sportsmen in Italy like the incomparable Valentino Rossi and Buffon. But their rugby sucks
I’ve enjoyed the type of game that Ireland played so far in the World Cup… from there my support to them for this game!
Great to see Parisse back, he should give Italy a good lift, they didn’t look too good in their first two matches
Italy lineout, 7m inside their own half
@ Just For Kicks:
JFK, did the sun rise this morning over in your part of the world?
Ireland penalty, man over the ball… he looked off his feet though, not maintaininghis body weight!
Ireland 10m out… and tey are playing penalty advantage
Penalty it is for offside… simple shot at goal for Sexton
Good defence by Italy, but they’ve had their 5 minutes of fame, me thinks
Ireland 3 / 0 Italy
Scrum on halfway for Italy

Very much so, the silver lining on the Scotland loss was the Engish loss. The only thing the Scots hate more than losing is the English!
The Scots, if honest were never targeting the Bok game. It was always going to be the next match that would see them thorough.
You should, however see how the press are tearing into the pom team across the border – and we thought the SA press could be harsh. This lot make our lot look like emails!
@ nortie:
@ 10
Yip..he is their best player by a mile … probably a toss up between him and the spermwhale and Heaslip for the position of third best no 8 in the world….. Hardinoque and Read fighting it out for number one.
In the end, good work by the Italians
@ Just For Kicks:
Was actually referring to the English being knocked out, you said it would be bad for the WC if they lost.
I can only imagine how brutal those headlines will be
Good stuff. Italians to equalise here
Italy penalty, knee on the ground and playing the ball by the Oirish!
Ireland 3 / 3 Italy

Ah, ok. They reckon that the Poms being knocked out will cost the UK up to .5 Billion pondos. thats why they needed to win, but hayhoe, they’re out, and the show must go on
20 @ robzim:
I don’t rate Read as the nr 1 anymore, been quite a while since he has reached the heights of the player that made him nr 1 in the world.
Last year Duane could easily have been player of the year as well, think his impact at 8 is far more important than that of Read
27 @ nortie:
Don’t discount David Pocock this year and in this tournament at No 8 (although he plays at openside in Super Rugby)!!
Good try, great steal
Ireland steals the Italian lineout!
Try Keith Earls, Ireland!
