Best possible start for madigan.
Ireland penalty, Madigan with a good touchfinder.
Sexton with a groin injury, not going to be back in this game

I think if France were to win Argentina will knock them over in the QF
Arghhhh Keith Earls knocks with an open line…. flok!
Ireland butcher a try
France penalty, on their own 10m line

And on that games like this is won or lost
@ The_Young_Turk:
I think winning this world cup could be special for any team… it wont be a huge shock if anyone qualifying for the QF’s win it bar Scotland.
@ nortie:
Very possible of course, but I think the French have now learned how to play against the Argies and don’t take them lightly anymore.
France knocks in the lineout…
Ireland penalty, well done by Rory Best!
Very fast-paced game… the players are going to be absolutely knackered after this game!
@ The_Young_Turk:
True, but even though I have been scathing of them I can’t help but to doff my cap to Argentina at the moment.
They are playing some fantastic rugby, and will be hard to beat I think. They do love playing the French 😀
@ MacroPolo:
It would be extra special for us if the Boks go on to win it by beating all the favourites on their way! Would go some way towards mitigating our miserable results this year.

Anyone else, well, it’s quite open for the other 7
Brutal hits all over the park
Farking serious rugby this… hard as nails!
@ nortie:
The Argies have improved massively but their big wins are still the exception rather than the norm except against France of course, but then who can ever predict the bloody Frogs!
Ian Madigan kicks out directly.
Seconds to go in the 1st half
How is Ireland going to survive the physicality of this game? France is tackling brutally… Ireland is going to rue that missed try.
@ The_Young_Turk:
Yep, that’s why I have such a love hate, or maybe more a hate hate relationship with France, a nightmare to predict their games
Terrible mistake from Maddigan, but Ireland manage to salvage it.
Now they lose their captain as well
Ireland penalty, they will just hack it out.
Paul O’Connell’s seriously injured… his game and hammie might be gone… as will the rest of his tournament be.
Lemoenetyd
Absolutely brutal game, no quarter asked or given!
Both teams look better than quite a few of the other Quarterfinals contenders…
Already 80+ tackles from France.
And we had people on here making fun of Meyer for saying we will have to make lots of tackles at the world cup 😆
Only 3 points in it, with 40 minutes to go… anybody’s game!
France though will need to play a territory game if they want to win this game, so far Ireland still look likely to win, because they are dominating territory and possession.
That is if the injuries are not too big of a disruption. Paul O Connell is a massive blow.
