The AB’s who?
Victoriabok wrote:
Most of them. 😀
More knock ons in the WC in 3 games than they have probably had in the last 3 years
nortie wrote:
They might be the favourites to win
But I like the Australians, the Poms and the Welsh as well
The Frogs I don’t know
And we haven’t really done much either
@ Victoriabok:
Aus might be a good bet.
France, who knows?
If the Boks can can get their mojo and play like last week, they can grind this AB team into making errors.
If the AB’s make the same amount of mistakes and turnovers against the Boks or Aussies they will be punished

If they Aussies beat the Poms they will go far
If the Poms can keep the ball with the forwards and force them to scrum and give away penalties they might win it
If they keep Pocock and the like away from the ball
I think we’re too old and too unsettled, HM banked on his senior players and on injured ones coming back and it didn’t pan out. Most of them are unfit and some are injured
Now were playing with very new combinations (centres and locks)
They could have settled in their positions by now if he backed the youngsters
@ Victoriabok:
Since the Aussies got the ex Puma Ledezmo (sp) their scrum has been very solid.
Regarding the Boks, once again, because of injuries, HM has selected what could be described as the best possible side he could picks from the players he took over.
Just the 2 props might have question marks over them
The men in black are being written off already, suits us 😀
@ NZINCHINA:
Hi Noodles
I doubt an AB team will ever be written off, but even you will agree that something doesn’t seem to be clicking quite right at the moment.
Their gameplan isn’t fluid when playing these unpredictable sides so far, and similar to the Boks, they don’t seem to possess or be able to switch to a plan B
At the moment it’s almost painfull to watch the AllBlacks and that’s not something one can say too often.
Between minutes 22 and 70 they failed to score any points against Georgia, even All Black fans should find that somewhat worrying?
@ nortie:
Hi Nortie, don’t tell anyone back home but I didn’t actually watch the game 😀 so I’m not qualified to comment but I have faith in Hansen and coband the playing group to step up when required. Tough games like this are far than walkovers but I suspect they would prefer a bit more fluidity and a lower error rate, it’s all making for a great comp though!
@ NZINCHINA:
They scored their 1st after 1 minute, they looked sharp.
Then somehow, like against Namibia, they failed to adapt after Georgia tried the unconventional.
We all know how potent the AB’s are when they toss the ball around and play a combination of touch rugby and 7’s, beautiful to watch, but there are times when you need to grind it out first and earn the right to go wide.
I heard an interesting comment after the match from Taine Randall in studio where he said that all the All Black coaches are ex back line players, hence they maybe don’t put such a high premium on forward play.
I think the way we played against Samoa is the way to go against the so called tier 2 countries, first soften the forwards up then strike wide. If the Ab’s mauled more often yesterday they could have scored much more, but by going to the back line almost every ball they freed up the Georgian forwards to stand there and defend
@ nortie:
They do have the ability to play it tight when really required so we shall see.

Yep, like against Argentina
It’s more difficult for the top teams to play against these tier 2 sides than facing their usual opposition.
Normally both teams play to try and win, now they are facing teams who’s only goal is to lose by as little as possible
I think they will be slightly concerned at the moment though, they talked about stepping up in the week, when all they did was take another couple of back ward steps.
We have had our wake up call against Japan 😆
You must just hope that yours doesn’t come against France in the QF
please stop all dreaming of France beating the AB in 1/4
we drop too many balls and kick too poorly
with plenty of balls
impossible to beat them
at most (at this time) we can only break some noses
Irland is a more suitable candidate to beat the AB
good kicking good defense keep the ball
@ rebop75:
For Irealand to face the AB’s in the QF it will mean France must beat them next week to finish first in group D
Looking at WC history, I’m sure the AB’s would rather face Ireland than France
World Rugby was supposedly taking a serious view on the ‘neck roll’ this RWC. Towards the end of the game last night saw an NZ player think it was Sam Cane grab a Georgian player around the neck and with his arm firmly around the neck dragged him from standin down to the ground and the Ref just blew for a penalty to Georgia! Did I miss a card being handed out? If there was no card I hope there will be a citing as it looked nasty.
@ nortie:
“Wake up call” is a nice way too put it when losing to Japan 😀 😀
Our 1/4 final opponents will have to go the distance and then some if they want to beat us, we’d like the Frogs in that match.
I am well aware of that 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳
with our team of mules playing with mitten at snail pace against Ireland watering the field with high balls…
💡
first minute
Bastaraud breaks Sexton into small green notes
💡
second minute
Kearney fall on the head alone on a high ball
💡
third minute
Heaslip tangles his arms with chistera and goes out with a broken elbow
and hop
easyyyyyyyyy
our plan is simple
Weput them on their butt
and pray hard for not making too many mistakes
for a (mostly) atheist country
believe me
it is a real challenge 😕

@ rebop75:
The winner of pool D might miss New Zealand, but will face Argentina.
At this stage I’m not sure which team will just rock up and beat the Argies, they have got their shit together very nicely. They definitely don’t fear the French in WC games.
I can see both Ireland and France not getting through to the semis
Stuart Hogg could be one of Scotlands danger men today. Have noticed that a lot of the time when he starts off on those scything runs of his he does an initial movement towards the left leaning and stepping off the left foot for a step or few and then he swerves the other way. He accelerates very quickly hopefully the Boks video analyst will have picked up on this and they have made a plan to counter this by getting the defenders tighter on his left side to stop him in his tracks or at least make him change his normal angle and so hopefully slow his acceleration down just that little bit. Didn’t look as if the USA coaching team spotted this or they couldn’t come up with a plan that their players could implement to counter this. Watch sodd law today Hogg will do just the opposite to prove me wrong..

Did you have haggis or boerewors for breakfast today?
