Wales cop a Yellow Card, Cuthbert, for a deliberate knock-down!

  • 152

Foley misses… but there is very little time left!

  • 153

1 Minute to go in the game.

    Wallabies now toying with Wales

  • 154

    Wales penalty… tap and go

  • 155

Aussie scrum, as Wales knocks, whilst going nowhere

  • 156

Seconds to go…. Aussie scrum just outside the Wales 22, centre field!

  • 157

Oz deserved winners. Wales are going to be a tough challenge for the Boks. Will give us a good indication of the Boks progress or lack thereof

  • 158

Foley kicks it deep into the stands…

    Wallabies win by 15 / 6.

  • 159

    Final Score: Australian Wallabies (9) 15 / 6 (3) Wales

  • 160

OK, I am going to go braai… see you slightly later!

  • 161

    Wonderful win by Oz
Wales only have 7 days to recover, we have had a nice 10 day rest.
Boks will hurt Wales next week

  • 162

    @ The_Young_Turk:

I think Wales is going to struggle to recover psychologically from the fact that they couldn’t score against 13 men despite throwing everything they had into it. Should benefit the Boks.

I’m worried about all the turnovers they had against the Wallabies with their two fetchers, probably the best two is the world

  • 164

    @ Vrystaat:
Hope so. Could also be that they come back more determined. We’ll just have to wait and see and hope the Boks lift their game and handle whatever comes their way_

  • 165

    @ Victoriabok:
Aus struggled to convert the line out maul, we won’t miss every time. We’ve had 3 less intense games to gain some confidence, and have a nice rest now.

This pool A was gruesome, and although Wales have been playing damn solid rugby, it was more a matter of them hanging in there than scoring great tries.

I think we will break them in the 1st half and run away in the second

  • 166

Very good win for Aus. Put to the sword, but came through. Definitely the team to beat. Hopefully SA”s upward curve has continued, as we need to go up a gear or two to take on the big boys.

They keep passing the ball behind the advantage line, looks good but achieves nothing

  • 168

    @ Just For Kicks:

They couldn’t score a try and beat an injury ravaged Wales by 9 points and they are the team to beat, really?

  • 169

    @ NZINCHINA:
Who else outranks them as the “team to beat” so far in this world cup?

Id give it to them for their defense, for those ten minutes they spent on their tryline defending, unbelievable rugby.

Heyneke Meyer klap sweep tot ná 2019, maar . . .
Deur Hendrik Cronjé Sondag 11 Oktober 2015 04:50

“Londen.

Angry

Tend to agree. Consecutive matches against England, Australia and next weekend against South Africa will take its toll on Wales.
The dream for Wales could be over.
That wake-up call against Japan could yet turnout to be a blessing in disguise for the Boks.

  • 172

    @ MacroPolo:

The Welsh crossed the line 3 times but were held up, if they were down to 13 men against better opposition like the Bokke or Ab’s they would have been punished. The scoreline says it all, they struggled to overcome Wales and could easily have been beaten, if Wales had any game in attack they were toast.

  • 173

    @ IAAS:
For sure, especially with all the extra injuries they have also picked up.

We are actually in a very good place at the moment.

The Aussies should achieve a grand slam en route to the final (should they make it to there)

They’ve already beaten Eng and Wales, should see off Scotland next week. Then, if Ireland top pool D and beat Arg in the QF, the Aussies need to beat them to achieve the grand slam.

What could be fun is if the French make it to the final on the other side and Aus beats them for the Trophy, they would have dispatched of all the previous 5 Nations countries in 5 weeks

He let slip on last week’s press conference that the Japan game pretty much cost him his job

    Wat beskou hulle as onderpresteer?

Losses against Argentina, Wales, Ireland, Aus , NZ and Japan in a calendar year would be seen as underachieving by any other top nation country

  • 176

Ireland is the dark horse to make the final imo.

Provided that they beat France tonight and that France does the unthinkable and beat the AB again in the 1/4 final.

  • 177

    @ MacroPolo:
I really hope you have Laidlaw in your fantasy team at 9?

  • 178

    @ Nama:
Well done, I see you have moved up to nr 1 in the Bru pool.

Wink
