We all would obviously, that though doesn’t diminish the achievement of winning a world cup under immense pressure…
@ Nama:
Yep, if we do win this year, as we heard “upsets do happen”, do our bragging rights for the next 4 years supersede those of Japan’s?
They can claim that they in fact are better than the world champions
Someone should tell our cricket team that winning a world cup is not as important as being one of the two best teams in the world 😆
Greece won the European Cup in football a while back…as did Denmark after only being allowed to participate when another country was expelled. Both those countries cannot be regarded as powerhouses in football and they will probably never win a tournament again.

Well if we win this year we are going to have to defeat the All Blacks and Wallabies two weeks in a row… like I said earlier in the highly unlikely case we do that… Japan wont matter.
Rabada doing well. No boundary of the first two balls.
Mooi KG

We have done that in the past….remember the days when we still won tournaments like the RC or 3 Nations
Well bowled boytjie.
Rabada on a hat trick.
@ nortie:
Well the All Blacks dominate those tournaments… World Cup playoffs is an entirely different matter… incomparable.
Proteas doing well in India
No hat trick but Rabada win it for SA.
Well done boys.
Dhoni must be coming to the end of his career.
Congrats Proteas 😀

The two does not have to be mutually exclusive. Think the Aus cricket team under Steve Waugh.
Can Tahir be MOTM for that one over?
@ MacroPolo:
You made the comparison by saying if we want to win the WC we will have to beat NZ and Aus in 2 weeks (assuming Aus make it to the final)
I’m saying we have done that in the past, when we were competitive enough to win the Tri nations.
It’s not an impossible feat, Aus did it this year beating us and NZ
