The Cell C Sharks have announced the signing of former Springbok hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle, who will join the franchise from the start of the new Super Rugby season.
The announcement was made on Friday on the Cell C Sharks website.
Commenting on his signing, Sharks Director of Rugby, Gary Gold said: “I am pleased to have acquired the services of a hooker with the pedigree of Chiliboy Ralepelle. He is a brilliant player with a strong work ethic and will be an asset to our squad.
“We look forward to welcoming him to Durban.”
Ralapelle is currently banned by World Rugby for his well-documented doping offence, but he is expected to be allowed to play again in April 2016.
2006 Was a breakthrough year for the then 19-year old Ralepelle, who made both his Super Rugby debut for the Vodacom Bulls as well as his 1st appearance in the green and gold. He went on to represent his country on 22 occasions and also made 69 Super Rugby appearances for the Vodacom Bulls.

So, Chillpill RalePILLS will play Super Rugby for the Tjarks from April.
There is sure to be mixed feelings, but if he plays well and tests negatively in the future no doubt his ban will quickly be forgotten. Still a good player.
If the sharks can sign Ruan botha though (as robzim alluded to). That would he an epic signing.
But i hope the bulls are hunting as well…
Well actually robzim didn’t allude to it, he straight out said it. 😆
Yes, Botha is moving to the Saaaks.
