The Cell C Sharks are sweating over the availability of 3 players who were injured in their Currie Cup loss to the Steval Pumas in Nelspruit last Friday.
Props Lourens Adriaanse and Thomas du Toit and loose forward Jean-Luc du Preez sustained blows during the Sharks’ 33 / 24 defeat and could be sidelined for some time.
“Unfortunately Lourens Adriaanse has hurt his shoulder, Thomas du Toit has hurt his ankle, and Jean-Luc du Preez has hurt his leg,” Director of Rugby Gary Gold said in a post match press-conference.
“It’s tough when it goes like that against a very good team like the Pumas. I think they will be a difficult team to beat at home for anyone.”
The Sharks next host the EP Kings in Durban this Saturday (17:05 SA Time kick-off).
