Scourge of SA Rugby I’m afraid.

Will never change until primary school coaches start changing the mindset.

    not a good point here…

Some positives from the game, but some big worries too… specially the injuries to Marcell Coetzee & Victor Matfield, as well as the sub-par performance by Handré Pollard.

  • 304

Oh well….looks like the reserves didn’t quite come up to scratch (talking front row). Losing Marcel cost us. Plus this horrible habit of going into defensive mode. For me, fitness also seems to be an issue.

  • 305

Wallabies win, and the Aussies moering the English at Lords.

  • 306

    Cheers All.

Now I MUST do some work.

  • 307

    Ek is stomgeslaan.
    Cry

  • 308

OK, so we now know Heinke is not the loosehead answer…

Lood de Jager & Eben Etzebeth put in some serious work in this game… I am suitably impressed.

    Jesse Kriel did very well.

Pocock coming on for the Wallabies was a game changer.

    a great schalk burger !!!
    too bad for him

We got tired, our fitness levels are not good enough.

    Tjorts Sammajoor,

    Have a good one!

    On that last try:

It is funny how the laws of rugby change close to the tryline.

Oupa tackled the players and never released him, he also never allowed the player to place the ball… but the TMO didn’t even take that into consideration?

I also have a function to attend this afternoon….

At the venue that Handbriekie and Bonzai Handbriekie manage… where they also have the restaurant and pub, a lot is happening today.

There is a proper, proper Bow Shooting range… and so they’re having massive fun there…

    Knife throwing
    Axe throwing
    Bow Shooting competition
    Pellet gun shooting competition
    Ketty (Catapult) shooting competition
    Blow Gun competition

Live entertainment, with a very good artist sining.

Braaiing, of course the Handbriekie’s restaurant and pub will be pumping…

Waisake Naholo out of the RWC for the All Blacks after breaking his leg yesterday.

Carter being rested for the JHB game.

Good result for Oz…well done BrumbiesBoy.

Bokke after Kriel’s try never even looked like going for the bonus point try, defensive mindset kicked in.

These stupid predetermined substitutions again backfired

Ja ek stem, veral die fiksheid afrigters wat heel jaar met die ouens op provinsiaale vlak werk.

    317 @ rebop75:
    Yeah Rebop,

Just very, very little time to give Heinke more of a go before the Rugby World Cup starts… and I think Trevor Nyakane has already proven he’s good enough to go as extra loosehead.

  • 324

Anyway, good comeback win by Aus, congrats to them and to you BB, like i said earlier in the week, your bench>ours. Good stuff by horwill, pocock and scott sio.

  • 325

We had Frans Malherbe that came on and he didn’t even look interested in doing anything, also basically 0 impact from Oupa, couple of crucial penalties against Heinke, that last one had stupid smacked all over it and cost us the game in the end.

  • 326

Aus are not going anywhere if they don’t get a decent kicker, lots of points thrown away because of poor goal kicking.

Quade is not the answer, need to play Foley unless they have an alternative kicker

  • 327

    324 @ MacroPolo:
Yip, the forwards on the benches made telling difference here at the end.

  • 328

and the biggest loss of all after this game (potentially) is Marcel Coetzee… Our loose trio were combining damn well in the first 50 odd minutes.

Oupa is just a quota need to have player.
My 2 surprises for today is:
    1. The way Malherbe flopped.
    2. Kriel is a massive find for the Boks.

Kriel and De Allende were excellent, I just wish de Allende would distribute at the right time, also JPP was pretty good.

Crucial was substitutions at very poor times (i know the world cup is important, butting winning every test possible between world cups is even more important to me, however there was no way of predicting how our front row will perform)

Also we seriously need to work on our fitness if there is any way we can play a high tempo game (something none of our Super Rugby franchises could do).
