    @ grootblousmile:
    Absoluut.

  • 245

    244 @ Ben-die-Bul:
Eerste Toets om na uit te sien is Woensdag tussen Samoa vs All Blacks!

  • 246

    @ grootblousmile:
Orrait. Sal by Nortie hoor of hy ‘n pool geskep het.

  • 247

245: hoop die underdogs wen weer !

  • 248

    247 @ Ben-die-Bul:
    Hahaha

    Wat is die kanse daarvoor?

    Minus 270%?

  • 249

“it’s about their skill…” not if they can bench press 150 kg.

No wonder the NZ teams lead the way.

SARU CEO Roux sued for R32m

Cape Town – The University of Stellenbosch is suing South African Rugby Union (SARU) CEO Jurie Roux for R32m – the amount the Cape university believes Roux used to help fund the Maties Rugby Club.

According to Netwerk24, the university is suing Roux in the Western Cape High Court – and want him to pay back the money.

According to court documents, Roux and a colleague, Chris de Beer (then the deputy director of student fees), worked together between 2002 and 2010 where they made “unauthorised” transfers from the university’s reserve funds.

The funds are believed to have been transferred to a variety of cost points related to the Maties Rugby Club, and used for a variety of club activities, including bursaries for players.

Roux left his job as chairperson of the Stellenbosch Rugby Club in 2010 to become SARU CEO.

De Beer was fired by the university in 2012.

    Absolutely scandalous…

I wonder whatever happened to the Criminal Investigation against Roux & De Beer?

Probly was just swept under some thick carpet, there in Slaapstad!

  • 254

Does this mean that his statue will also be removed?

    Roux must fall

    Disapproval

  • 255

    @ grootblousmile:
Don’t blame Slaapstad…blame slap tiger! Wink

Wonder what Saru’s going o do now. When the alegations emerged, they said the talked to Jurie and that they were satisfied with his explanation therefor there was no need to take any action against him.

To be fair, it does not look as if he took any money for himself. He just channeled it the wrong way. That’s what it looks like on the surface though.

  • 256

Seems as if SARU is still firmly behind Roux.

    “SARU remain firmly behind Roux.

“We are aware of the case and the application that has now be made to the court,” SARU President Oregan Hoskins told rugby365.

“The SARU executive has interrogated the situation on a number of occasions and we are satisfied with the explanations that Jurie Roux gave to us.

“He has done an outstanding job in his role as CEO of SARU. We extended his contract in 2014 on that basis.” “

    Birds of a feather…

  • 258

    @ BrumbiesBoy:
I don’t think that Hoskins is speaking in his personal capacity.

  • 259

    @ Nama:
Sure he is but sadly I don’t trust either of them.

  • 260

Outta here for now, back later.

    Bye

    That was NO TRY Groot.
The ball was forced down on the boot of a Hurricanes Player, then rolled away uncontrolled.

    265 @ cane:
It touched the turf too beside the boot, Mainstay Cane…

It was a very, very good try and a fantastic call by the TMO!

Was a try all the way!

In real time it looked good.

But at the end of the day…………………………………………………….It’s all over. And I do think the very slightly best Team on the day won.
