Pretoria agrees so well with you, Mr S.

You have grown as a person…. hehehe

You mean no Bulls in the Boks. See what you mean!

As long as we do not have to pass through that convict capital with its tailless jackasses and bald hookers on our way to Brisbane Delighted

  • 184

    @ IAAS:
Yip, Duane is the man we need.

Pollard’s kicking has to sharpen up. Yes he set up the last try.
But he kicked aimlessly downfield at times and failed to find touch. That is not good enough – in fact basic errors of a fly half.

    181 @ IAAS:
    Huh?

Where do you draw that inference from??

I count quite a few Bulls:

Trevor Nyakane, Adriaan Strauss, Matfield, Handré Pollard, Jesse Kriel….

    @ grootblousmile:

    Watter ander veranderinge ?

Fransie of Mapoe in JDV se plek as reserwe, want hy moet nog rus.

    188 @ Pietman:

    188: Cry

    189 @ Ben-die-Bul:
Ek dink nie jy is vêr verkeerd nie.

Fransie Steyn is mos terug Sharks toe, so hy sal seker vir Mapoe intrek.

If Duanne is not available, then I would have a serious look at playing Alberts at 8. I wasn’t impressed with Whiteley but I suppose it’s hardly fair to write him off after one match.

  • 194

    193 @ Stormersboy:
Duane still has 9 weeks of rehab after operation, so we’ll see a different No 8 all during The Rugby Championship.

  • 195

    @ grootblousmile:
Yes, it will be interesting to see who Meyer backs as his no 2

  • 196

    195 @ Stormersboy:
I’d back Schalla as No 8, with Whiteley as backup.

I’m not impressed by Willem Alberts anymore… more injured than playing!

  • 197

    @ Stormersboy:

Howzit mate – looks like Alberts injury is long term – and won’t make it to the WC.

That brings Schalk into the equation – don’t rule him out at 8. I think HM might be thinking in that direction.

  • 198

As jy Louw en Marcel speel, moet jy ‘n groter baldraende agsteman kies.

Daarom moet ons hoop Duane is reg, of Alberts kom reg.

Schalk of …..

    PSDT !

    Beserings !

  • 199

    @ IAAS:
I agree with Rudi and yourself about Schalk, but I doubt whether Heynecke has enough imagination to play Schalk there through the RC, which is the minimum needed. I watched Schalk play there before and he didn’t look all that comfortable to be honest.

Today was an experiment for HM.
Next week is the real deal.
    When HM shows his cards.

  • 201

Tomorrow I’ll be doing a Bru Pool for The Rugby Championship as well as one for the Currie Cup… been threatening to do them for 10 days now, just have not had the extra time to do it.

So, tomorrow while Handbriekie & BonzaiHandbriekie is at their restaurant… I will give attention to that and a number of other thingies I have not had time for!

  • 202

    200 @ IAAS:
We know Heyneke does not chop and change much from 1 game to the next… that’s how we’ve come to know him for all these years.

He’s the ultimate Mr consistency and continuity…. sometimes even too conservatively so.

So, do not expect a huge moving away from today’s match 23 for next week or for the broader Rugby Championship.

Some half-injured players will be added as they get ready, that we also know.

  • 203

Apart from Lock, No 8 and finalizing the centres, I recon Heyneke Meyer’s Rugby World Cup group is relatively cast in stone already.

Even though Britney says he is still available – if needed, which hopefully won’t be the case.

Suddenly there is a lack of top class 8’s in this country. Amazing seeing that Vermeulen was called a donkey, a carthorse, a fattie etc.
Just shows the lack of an 8 who read the game – where the next play will be and after that – and cover the ground.
You only miss players like that when they’re not there.

    Hier is my span,

    Lambie
    Willie
    Kriel
    Ellende
    Habana
    Pollard
    Pienaar

    Burger
    Louw
    Marcel
    Vic
    Eben
    Malherbe
    Bissie
    Trevor

    Beast
    Strauss
    Koch
    Flip
    Whiteley
    Reinach
    Frans
    Mapoe/JJP

    Wie het ek gemis ?

  • 206

Springbok’s best chance to win the RC this year….only 3 games, and Boks only play 1 away and have two in a row in SA.
Aus also have 2 home games, but have to travel to Argentina in between playing the Boks and AB’s at home.
Both AB’s and Arg only have one home game

  • 207

    @ IAAS:
100% as you say, conspicuous by his absence.

    Get well soon Duane!!

  • 208

    205 @ Ben-die-Bul:

  • 209

    @ Ben-die-Bul:
    Cornall Hendricks ipv Willie, dalk?

  • 210
