We just can’t keep relying on brute force, and 50/50 kicks anymore – we’re seeing more and more of them not only resulting in turnovers, but also ending in penalties against us. Those uppies are clearly a no no with our kicking either too far, taking the man out, or just not bothering to chase. Our strength at the driving maul has effectively been snuffed out with clever binding techniques, swimmming and collapsing and added to that every driving maul try will no go upstairs for a check, and I guarantee 9 out of 10 tries will be disallowed because of some indiscretion.
We have to change, and quickly. We say it week in and week out, but nothing seems to change
