@ nortie:
Ag nortie dis jy wat dramaties raak. Al wat ek gese het is dat jy dit baie baie baie geniet as die sharks verloor. Ek kan nie help jy raak so defensive nie. Dit was ook net deel van die banter.
@ MacroBull:
Ok, ek geniet dit ook nie altyd as die Sharks verloor nie, so nou en dan wil ek ook he dat hulle moet wen…
272 @ nortie:
Thank the gods that Gary Glitter signed at the Sharks and will therefore not be in contention when the job at the Stormers becomes available at the end of this super rugby season.

He had similar results during his time at the Stormers didn’t he?

Don’t worry Snor will be your coach next season 😛
@ Victoriabok:
Lol….. He can hardly do worse than Gary.
It is dead quiet here in CT on this issue.. no rumours flying around that i know of… we can only hope there is no nasty surprise…
robzim wrote:
Maybe the Snake will return to Cape Town?
He’s been in France way to long already
nortie wrote:
Wat het gebeur?
Was hulle swak in die skrums, lynstane of was dit die agterlyn?
Hoe was Bissie?
284 @ Victoriabok:
Hulle was sommer net plein kak, ongeorganiseerd, een-dimensioneel… gefok!
Ek gaan nou vroeg in… 1ste rugby more is 07:30 SA Tyd.
Goeie nag, slaap sag!
grootblousmile wrote:
Gaan slaap jy al 19:30?
Farkit GBS jy overtake die hoenners oppad om te gaan slaap
@ Victoriabok:
Who knows? ….. his wife’s wine estate (Avontuur) is near Somerset West where Brendon Venter lives…. Imagine the troika comprising of Whte/Venter and Smal with Theo Wakefield as “handler”…fireworls galore…
I doubt though….. wont be surprised if Gert rolls up his sleeves and becomes more involved with coaching though..
robzim wrote:
I think Dr Brendan might be trying to extract him from Gary, Barney and the gang
What did Skop call Barney again?
Pie vreter?
@ Victoriabok:
Skop was certainly not a member of ” Barney’s army” 🙂
He won’t call him pie vreter anymore though… since he has taken up mountain biking Smit has trimmed down considerably and is in quite good shape..
robzim wrote:
Good for him
He should trim down his coaching staff as well
Victoriabok wrote:
It will be one of
Jerome Paarwater (married to Thelo’s daughter I believe)
Paul Treu
Chester Williams
Pieter Div
Eddie Jones (outside chance)
That was the rumour mill a while ago,
I’ll hold out hope that it is one of
Eddie J (we couldnt afford him)
Nick Mallet (although players struggle with him)
Pieter Div (really)
John Dobson (needs more experience)
Brendon Venter
@ Stormersboy:
Dobson has paid his dues at the lower levels… i think he has won trophies with just about every team he ever coached and if he does well with the CC team this year he must certainly be a strong contender.
I doubt whether Eddie, Nick or Brendon will be in the running …for various reasons.. Paul Treu is too inexperienced in 15’s but will be part of the team… Jerome is not too bad but had his chance a few years ago..Chester is a proven failure at coaching..
Peter would probably kill to get the job .
Stormersboy It will be one of
Jerome Paarwater (married to Thelo’s daughter I believe)
Paul Treu
Chester Williams
Pieter Div
Eddie Jones (outside chance)
It might be Treu, they brought him in for a reason
Victoriabok wrote:
The original plan, long before he came back, was to have Treu as head coach, Jerome as forward coach and Chester as backline.
That was how I heard it, and a couple of months later Treu was appointed. Made me wonder.
robzim wrote:
Frans failed at the Lions and he still got the Bulls job
Gary haven’t won anything of note and he got the Sharks job
By way of deduction in the SA Rugby coach selection process, it will be Chester then 😛
Stormersboy wrote:
It will be a good coaching team
Might be better than the Sharks big team
Barney’s merry men ain’t working for him
Stormersboy wrote:
Its ridiculous p divvy was not approached by the sharks last year. He has had international success and would have entirely been envolved in the pre season. He will also become a high comoddity when the quotas become more strict in the future.
MacroBull wrote:
Ridiculous press quotes aside, PDV was and is a very good coach.
They can’t fire Gold now, whether the Sharks supporters want him out or not.
He hasn’t been given any opportunity to bring in players he rates or to select his own support staff….maybe that will happen next year.
What I don’t understand from their set up is that when they win something, it’s due to Brendan, but when things go pear shaped, everyone else is blamed.
