Looks like a try to me
Try is awarded!
Tuks now running away with it
Tuks 34 / 0 UJ
Temperman knocks
4 Minutes to go in the game… there will only be 1 winner here!
Tuks driving UJ back in the tackles, still!
Tuks WILL end this Round Top of the Log, on the same Log Points as Shimlas, but with a much better points difference. They are 36 pooints above Shimlas on points difference at the moment
Tuks penalty, 1 minute to go in the game!
Come on Tuks, 1 more try please!
Seconds to go, they have their ball… they maul
Arghh, truck and trailer…
… and it boils over from UJ side as they sling a few handbags at Wiaan Liebenberg…
UJ just kick the ball out.
Game over
Final Score: FNB UP-Tuks (5) 34 / 0 (0) FNB UJ
The scoreline suggests it was an easy Tuks win, well it was not, only the last 20 minutes was when Tuks took full control, till then UJ was well in with a chance.
Mission Accomplished for Tuks though, away from home too!
Log:
1. Tuks 25
2. Shimlas 25
3. Pukke 19
4. UCT 18
5. Maties 16
6. UJ 15
7. NMMU 7
8. CUT 0
Next Monday we have the following games in the Final Open Round:
NMMU play Tuks
UCT play UJ
CUT play Maties
Shimlas play Pukke
We already know Tuks & Shimlas will end 1st & 2nd on the Log, just who will be 1st or 2nd will be determined on Monday. Those 2 are 6 points ahead of the nearest rival, Pukke… so it is more than 1 game ahead.
Maties WILL get 5 Log points against CUT, that much is a given… pushing them to 21 points, so Pukke, UJ & UCT have all to play for. One of UCT or UJ will most likely fall out of the running as they play one another, possibly letting Maties into 4th spot.
I have updated the Results & Logs, but not the Varsity Cup SuperBru Pool Leaderboard, as I want SuperBru to finish off their counting and calculating first!
