Did starc get player of the tournament?
Man of the Match – James Faulkner
Man of the Tournament – Mitchell Starc!
One should not forget that Aus was the only team to have beaten NZ.
But also NZ was the only team to have beaten Aus.
Both victories to the home team.
Great tournament all round.
Well done Aussies.
Its a whole new ball game when you played on postage stamps all tournament then having to play the final at the MCG.
I think it’s safe to say that New Zealand’s Black Caps peaked all tournament, except the last game…
Well done Australia for taking the Cricket World Cup!

Lets face it, the Kiwi’s played above themselves, they are not really in Australia’s class and it showed today on the big stage…. they were brave and brilliant right through the tournament though and deserve a lot of credit for it.
Quite something to see Michael Clarke walking off the field in his last ODI for Australia with the crowd joining in singing ” Working class man”… a song made famous by Jimmy Barnes who was the lead singer of the iconic aussie rock band ” Cold Chisel”. Probably the best send off Michael could have asked for.
