    @ nortie:
I also went to look now, Alwyn Hollenbach also playing for the Lions, he was also not a bad player… Like I said when he left the Bulls because he is too far down the line and people were blaming the Bulls for buying other talent… competition is tough everywhere, there are no handouts.

    @ MacroBull:
Not a bad looking Vodacom Cup side…..I see Ackerman’s son is on the flank.
Considering how the “proper” team have been faring so far in SR, who’s to say some of them shouldn’t rather be playing Vodacom Cup?
Or Community Cup , nudge nudge wink wink Mnisi

anyway, apart from having to play the Crusaders, this is actually as good as a draw for a tour any team can dream of. Two wins should be their target!

So was starting with two home games in the first 3 rounds.
Currently the Crusaders look the worst of their opposition on tour

    @ nortie:
Vodacom cup has a weird format this year, the North section plays 9 rounds, (2 rounds before the south section plays a game).

So the teams from the north section will have a 2 byes while the teams from the south has none.

    Odd

Yes, Blues are not clinical at finishing…idiot Braid with an open try knock on, being called for a forward pass by the TMO, but the ball was about a meter more backward than Kriel’s pass, which was, also according to a TMO just fine.
The Blues were shafted in Bloem by the ref and TMO, but if they didn’t bungle so many tries they could have nullified the officials.
They should still beat the Lions?
The Lions think they are this wonderful attacking team, shunning penalties to go for tries, but the reality is they have only scored 2 tries in 3 games

    @ nortie:
thats exactly what I have been saying all along, the Lions only scored 2 or 4 more tries than the Bulls last year, all thanks to the thumping they gave the Cheetahs in the final game. When it works it works, but the Truth is that the Lions would not be anywhere near as successful without Boshoff, when you look back at the Stormers game last year they put the Stormers on the back foot with penalties and drop goals, not by playing like Elton Spencer.

The Blues has to click at some time or another, no time like clicking when you come back home from a tour.
