Kirwin under much pressure in NZ. Blues need to to start doing something or he’s gone soon rather than later.
Another Blues penalty, this one on about the 22, close to touch… shot at goal again
61 @ McLook:
I never thought much of John Kirwan as a coach… was a marvelous winger though in his time.
Another penalty; bless. West misses again.
West misses left again… score stays the same
@ grootblousmile:
Yip great player. Have done nothing yet as coach. Blues does not look like a well coached side.
Ou Tony Houthoender is darem al lank innie tand vir ‘n stut!
Canes scrum, quite deep in their own half, for a wee Blues knock
10 Minutes to go in the game
Number of subs on, both sides
Mmmm, skew into the scrum… and it goes unnoticed!
Kirwin’s main problem he has to many x-factor players and no combinations. He seems to think his x-factor players will do it for him. The hard yard players are missing in the team.
Canes knock, on the Blues 10m line.
Close game… anybody’s game.
I thought the Canes would easily take this one….
@ grootblousmile:
Groot,
Nehe has a fine Rugby pedigree.
An Uncle on his Mums side was Buff Milner, an All Black to South Africa in 1970.
And Uncle George Skudder on his Dad’s side, was an All Black in 1969.
Phweeew, a few chances going pear… both sides!
Kamakazi stuff with lots of 50/50 passes.
Bangladesh making a game of it against NZ in the CWC.

Interesting!
So he’s got the pedigree… and has come through nicely.
He plays with great confidence though for a relative newbie to Super Rugby… and I commend that.
Maybe training methods and playing methods in New Zealand just ripens players earlier in New Zealand than in South Africa. I often lament that South African sides are so slow to bring players through!
Bonus point try, Julian Savea, Canes!
Typical Canes razzle dazzle try
Hurricanes 30 / 23 Blues

Cane wanted to say. Bit of a mini collapse by NZ.
2 Minutes to go…
What do we want, the Blues to score and draw the game, or the Canes to get more on the board for our Bru’s?
Canes have possession, in Blues territory… seconds to go
Enough overs left for NZ to do it with ease.
Hooter goes, Blues knock…
Conrad Smith tries a drop goal… hahaha… kak one Conrad!
Final Score: Hurricanes 30 / 23 Blues
Taylor took forever to get his fifty and a bit.
Not an inspiring performance by the blues at all.

Correction. Is getting a bit tight for NZ. 60 of 44 balls.
