Lions lucky…
… and they also get a turnover scrum…
And to think I postponed an important dental appointment to watch this rough and tumble rugby…

Im not defending his lack of form, just saying that he is an excuse for our anability to chase under pressure at the wc… Uncluding amla, rilee, miller, duminy.
Its nice to come in after a 200 run partnership against minnows.
De kock has that x factor that could allow him to give us an edge because the other guys have already failed time after time… Even though admitedly he needs to regain form fast.
Faf de Klerk & Ruan Dreyer on as subs… both moves maybe a good blessing
Scrum already better with Dreyer on at tighthead

Obstruction by the Blues and the Lions have a chance to get out of their half… at last
Faf de Klerk with an excellent break….
Tryyyyyyyyyyy Combrinck!
Whoopie!
Lions 13 / 10 Blues
Mooi Jantjies! NOU moet ons tekkel vir dood!
Go Lions!
Akker van der Merwe also on, at hooker, replacing Robbie Coetzee

Stephen Moore sock you one?

I don’t agree, he is not the reason we can’t chase, he makes it more difficult because we effectively only have 10 functioning batsmen, but even when we set a total, we also have only 10 functioning batsmen.
While a few of his fan club sit and wait for that 1 innings where he gets a score so they can say “told you so”, they seem to forget the other 9 innings he did zilch.
Anyway, they won’t drop him, he must keep, and they won’t drop him down the order, it will be an acknowledgement that they were wrong….so we are stuck with him as a keeper and a once-every- blue-moon-X factor-get-a-big-score opener
Proteas 156 / 7 after 28.3 overs
Blues scrum, after a Lions maul was held up
Lions scrum penalty… now looking much better at tighthead
12 Minutes to go in the match
Lions penalty, collapsing the maul… Faf with a quick tap
Blues get a relieving penalty.
Lions should have gone to bloody goal!
