It is Round 4 of Super Rugby 2015 this weekend.
There are 2 games on Friday 6 March and 4 games on Saturday 7 March.
The Crusaders, Hurricanes and Melbourne Rebels have a BYE weekend.
The first 3 Rounds were very unpredictable and the local South African derbies in Round 3 went right down to the wire.
4 Undefeated teams remain in 2015, of which 3 are in action this weekend. Will these undefeated teams simply kick on and retain their unbeaten status, or will they be pegged back this weekend.
In the 2 South African derbies, picking winers is a difficult task this weekend… and in my case “Gut Feel” determined where my SuperBru picks fell.
Round 4 promises to deliver more surprizes!
The Friday games are: Chiefs vs Highlanders in Hamilton and also the Brumbies vs Western Force in Canberra. On Saturday it’s the Blues vs Emirates Lions in North Harbour, the Reds vs Waratahs in Brisbane, the Toyota Cheetahs vs Vodacom Bulls in Bloemfontein and lastly the DHL Stormers vs Cell C Sharks in Cape Town to finish off Round 3.

What do you folk think of this incident? How much if any sanction do you think the Ulster player should get for this (without looking it up), be interested to read what the thoughts are from various perspectives :
It’s a clear sneak punch to the face and on the evidence there was no provocation.
Should have been a straight red card and at least a week suspension.
Seeing that there was no red card or even a penalty I would give him 2-3 weeks.
@ robzim:
Can’t argue too much with that, Rob.
The sneaky farker.

3 @ BrumbiesBoy:
Cheers guys, yip I also thought it was underhanded punch and can’t believe there are some folk that think he may have been going for the ball but misjudged! Even if he was going for the ball in that way and had got it then surely he would have only succeeded in knocking it forward and should have got penalized for a deliberate knock down.
Anyway Rob you are much more in tune with the disciplinary matters than I as I thought I would give at least 4-6 weeks off, especially as you say he escaped without being punished at all during the game. BUT guess what he got – 1 week ban! initial ‘sentence’ was 2 weeks but it was reduced to 1 because he is such a good boy.
1 @ Bullscot:
Here is part of the statement issued about the Roger Wilson suspension (the annoying this is all 3 on the committee were Scots:
“Roger Wilson appeared today before an independent PRO12 Rugby Disciplinary Committee, following a citing for allegedly striking an opponent during the second half of the Guinness PRO12 match between Ulster and Scarlets on Friday 27 February 2015.
The Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Roddy Dunlop, sitting with Pamela Woodman and John Kirk (all Scotland), having listened to representations by and on behalf of the player, and viewed TV footage of the incident, found that Roger Wilson had committed an act of foul play which would have warranted a red card and considered it to be reckless rather than intentional, and at the low end of World Rugby’s sanctions for this type of offence , which carries an entry-point of 2 weeks.
The Committee found that there were no aggravating factors, and after taking into account the mitigating factors, they reduced the entry point by one week and imposed a one week suspension. The player is suspended from playing until midnight on Sunday 8 March 2015, and has the right of appeal. “
