Serious?
Did they shoot each other in stead of shooting into the air?

Six people were wounded in celebratory gunfire as Afghanistan fans took to the streets to mark their team’s Cricket World Cup victory over Scotland in Dunedin yesterday.
Hundreds of fans turned out in major cities across Afghanistan dancing, waving flags and firing AK-47 rifles after their team’s shock one-wicket win, the BBC reports.
A health official said six people were wounded in celebrations in Jalalabad.
Big win for the Chiefs… very big
I only picked the Chiefs by 6 on Bru

De Kock’s ODI record is as follows:
Average of 39.79, scoring rate of 87.25
4 x 50s
6 x 100s
& 17/39 batting failures
that is NOT coming off 1/10 innings
overall that is pretty darn good for an opener
& de Kock is an opener & as such must open
I said before & maintain that Rossouw, when he plays must bat at #4,& AB as a floating #5, coming in from about the 28th over as yesterday.
AB excels as a middle order batsman under those conditions.
Chiefs looking good again as usual….and with SBW back it might be their year again. They missed him last year

A very popular way of celebration, happens in my town regularly, that’s the Bedouine way, especially here in their heartland where I live.
nortie wrote:
Yeah that’s why I said the win meant so much more to them, don’t think we would be firing AK47s in celebration over here
@ nortie:
@264 Ek stem. Ons erg voorbedag daarop, veral met Yemen se lang berggrens, Saudi veiligheid tel hulle daagliks op en skiet vrek.
165 @ Angostura:
I’m really not going to read stats, I’m talking about this current moment in time.
Gayle will also probably have good stats over a long period of time, but he is an asset when he scores a huge total, but a batting liability when he fails….which is more often than not.
The same as in the IPL, where his team don’t even make the top 4, even though he gets one big score every 10 odd innings.
If de Kock can’t bring his side opening, drop him down the order, this is a WC tournament and after the WC they can let him open again to regain his batting form
@ nortie:
@ nortie:
de kock sal nog regkom, ek sal by hom bly as n opener, ek weet nog nie of rilee reg is vir daai druk nie, en daar is niemand anders daar nie… die volgende paar wedstryde teen die minnows sal sy selfvertroue bietjie opbou.
@ nortie:
hehe ja okay, te veel off topic stuff 😉
173 @ MacroBull:
@ nortie:
haha ek weet jy stry nie, ek sou selfde gese het hy kan onderstoe skuif as n ou soos elgar daar was.
MacroBull wrote:
yeah right then some of you guys will label him a “minnow basher”
@ Bullscot:
hehe maybe, but at least he has hundreds against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia and India… so he is not waiting around for minnows so he can score big runs 😉 but it will help.
Good morning gentlemen
A good win for the Chiefs. Glad the Cheetahs won last night as well although I think they were a bit lucky – but luck is part of the game and they didn’t have the luck last year.
Regarding Quinton De Kock. I don’t think he is a one in ten player at all. He has just come off quite an injury break and needs some time in the middle. I would consider moving Riley to open and move Quinton down to seven, where he can play with confidence. He is also the type of player we are lacking in the middle order – a big hitter for the final overs. We don’t have a Morkel or Wiese to play that role unfortunately. Once he has his confidence back move him to open again. Behardien is not the answer at 7. His bowling and batting is very average. Maybe Abbott could play that role as well. Not a worse batter than Behardien.

@ Gumboots:
My point exactly Gummi…..this is a once of tournament, if he isn’t doing his job as an opener, move him down the order.
I want him to play, but as a keeper/batsmen down the order for now.
After the WC he can move up again when the stakes aren’t as high
