The Cheetahs will this week welcome back flank Heinrich Brüssow and centre Johann Sadie from Japan.
The duo play for the Docomo Red Hurricanes and their return to Bloemfontein was dependent on how far the Hurricanes would go in the knockout rounds in Japan.
The Hurricanes this past weekend lost in the semi-finals of the wildcard tournament, which is contested between the sides finishing fifth to 12th in the Japanese league.
This means that Brüssow and Sadie are allowed to return in time for the Super Rugby season, which starts for the Cheetahs with a game against the Sharks in Durban on 14 February.
Coach Naka Drotske said that the duo will be back in Bloemfontein either Tuesday or Wednesday.
The Cheetahs play their final warm-up match against the Griffons at Old Greys on Wednesday and Drotske said he would like to pick his strongest available team for the match.
The Cheetahs lost their first 2 warm-up games of 2015, against the Bulls (30 / 13) and Stormers (39 / 31).
