Bulls coach Frans Ludeke says it’s important for his team to eradicate some “bad habits” as they prepare for this year’s Super Rugby competition.
The Bulls will play two warm-up matches – against the Cheetahs (Polokwane – 24 January) and Saracens (London – 31 January) – before starting their campaign against the DHL Stormers at Loftus Versfeld on 14 February.
“The expectations are big,” Ludeke said. “We made some changes in pre-season an it’s important that we get rid of some bad habits.”
According to Ludeke, some of those bad habits included being beaten at the breakdown and poor decision making on attack, but the coach is confident that they will be better in 2015.
“Things are different this year. There are young guys in the group coming through, a few players were bought and injured players like Pierre (Spies) and Arno (Botha) are back. We want to expose all the guys and in the process test a few combinations.
“We want to make things right quickly, but it’s also important to build on what worked for us last season – like scrums and our defence,” concluded Ludeke.

Bad habits like kicking the ball away aimlessly all game?
The biggest BAD HABIT the Bulls have is favouritism in selction as well as the inability to change things which hamper the side… including game plan and approach!
Frans Ludeke has become a BAD APPLE, infecting the whole basket… and he is a bad habit too… hehehe
Wat beduie Ludekak so?
Hy lyk soos ‘n korporaal
“Sien jy daardie boom Van der Merwe, bring vir my ‘n blaar ”
“Laat jou voete raas Spies”
“As jou voete grondvat hardloop jy te stadig Greyling”
Not the biggest ludeke fan atm but at least he didnt use thr “ball in hand”. Cliche.
