Jeeez, glad Gayle failed and only got 1 run!
Smith as well, only 5 runs and gone!
That should pretty much knock the stuffing out of the Windies for this match… but maybe the pitch is a difficult one… and then it could be game on!
Windies 37 / 3 after 10 overs.
Good stuff… 4th wicket also down… Ramdin, bowled by Dale Steyn for 2.
Windies 43 / 4
Tahir strikes, Marlin Samuels gone!
Windies 52 / 5 after 16.5 overs
Boomfa!
Wickettt
Windies 83 / 6 after 24.2 overs.

Need to go to a specialist Bolt shop quickly… back just now.
Need some bolts to secure my swimming pool filter pump lid much better… the asshole who installed the new filter made kak and it was always leaking a bit… so once again I have to fix something… fokkie toggie!
Blomme 50 / 1 after 12 overs.
Easy peasy game for them today
With Amla and de Villiers in such good form and such a low target to chase I thought they would have shuffled the order a bit to give the likes of Miller, Berhardien, Duminy and du Plessis (if all of them needed) some time at the crease in the build up to World Cup, no use we roll the Windies in next few games like we did last week and the others rock up to the World Cup short on batting match time and perhaps struggling when called on there.
Also surprised to see the likes of Steyn and Morkel in the line up – COTTON WOOL – is what they should be wrapped up in, would also give the other bowlers in the squad much needed practice for the World Cup. But maybe this is so close to the Cup that they are going with what they intend doing at the World Cup.
I am glad Faf is getting some runs, he is not as talented as some other players and he has a terrible record in ODI cricket of late, but the way he has shown under pressure in test cricket, he is the type of guy that could play a match winning knock in a world cup final.

Blomme 93 / 1 after 20 overs
Only 30 needed for the win… 30 overs to do it in!
Blomme should be finished, winning after 25 overs or less
11 needed for the win… and it’s only 23 overs gone
4 runs needed to win, after 24 overs gone
Luckily both Amla and Faf du Plessis managed to get their 50’s
Blomme win by 9 wickets, after 24.4 overs (152 balls remaining)
Hope the Blomme don’t meet the Windies in the 1/4 final of the World Cup.
Could be a real banana peel
As regards the QFs, Aus is likely to play in Melbourne, & NZ in Auckland.
Unless the Proteas play poorly in the pool stages they are unlikely to meet either Aus or NZ in the QFs.
Most likely the Proteas will play their QF at either Sydney or Adelaide (not ideal venues for SA’s attack).
Meeting Sri Lanka (with their quality spinners) in a QF at Sydney or Adelaide could be the Proteas’ fate … & perhaps their nemesis.
IF the Proteas can progress beyond the QF stage, then they’re likely to come up against Aus in the final at Melbourne (imo) – that could be a fine contest, with Aus the favourites to win based on their recent 4-1 ODI defeat of the Proteas.

The Proteas & the Windies are in the same Pool, & the Proteas meet the Windies at Sydney during the pool stages – if the Windies field both Narine & Benn (& Gayle or another batsman plays a pearl of an innings) in that match, then it could prove to be a Proteas’ banana peel …
@ Angostura:
Yes narine would make a huge difference to this windies side.
