Bryan & Bernie Habana
Bernie Habana, the father of Springbok wing Bryan, is reported to be causing his landlord problems by not paying his rent.
According to the Times Live website, Habana snr has not paid his rent for months and is now refusing to leave the R2.4m house he is occupying in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs, according to his landlord, Thorsten Weiss.
Weiss is taking Habana to the Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal this week to get an eviction order.

Weiss claimed that Habana owed him in excess of R55 000. He said Habana sent him a “proof of payment” SMS but that he never received the money.
Habana snr is also reported to be owing other people money, while one of his neighbours in Fourways said he had kept a sheep in an alley next to the house for about five days until the SPCA confiscated it. It was believed to be part of a lobola payment.
Bryan Habana is currently on tour with the Springboks in Dublin where they are preparing to face Ireland on Saturday.
They will also play Tests against England (London, 15 November), Italy (Padova, 22 November) and Wales (Cardiff, 29 November).

I recall someone telling me that he was instrumental is stuffing up Bryan’s chances at a fat European contract post 2007….
His ego got in the way of his son’s interests or something like that, not sure…..
