Jeez, what a knob SuperDoos has turned out to be in the last year!!

  • 482

I think Superbul is a great bloke and passionate about his rugby. Calls a spade a spade, and although I think he went a bit far with the JdV comment (only my view), I respect what he has to say, and find him a font of knowledge.

  • 483

    @ John Galt:

Get him to mow your lawn whilst he’s there.

He’ll probably moan and complaint about his horticultural war wounds whilst he’s there.

Tell him to stop being a softy and hardenthefuckup.

    😆

  • 484

I also take my hat of to SuperBul with sticking to his points.
Not everybody has to like every player, and as he rightly pointed out, the anti-Spies sentiments run just as strong as the anti-Jean.
I also don’t agree with “wishing ill or injury” to players, but we have also seen on other sites that some bloggers have done that, so it’s not a new phenomena.
I don’t think he wished Jean ill, in his opinion it just isn’t necessasarily a bad thing for Bok rugby.
To each his own opinion, heaven knows my opinion doesn’t always go down well with everybody either.

    @ gunther:
I went to my neighbor once and told her that I was there to mow her lawn.

I don’t think she understood exactly what I meant but I went with it anyway.. 😉

She asked me to come back the next day to unclog her pipes.

Who knew chores could be so much fun!

This reminds me of all the anti John Smit rhetoric last WC

I was reading Rugby 365.com (sorry Rudi) and it’s much the same there. Polarized opinions.

Yep, they laid into Smittie big time.
Who can also forget HG hoping the Province players breaking legs and arms for the 2013 final.
My take is that in SuperBul’s opinion the Boks will be better off if Jean doesn’t play, not that he hoped Jean suffered a career ending injury.

  • 488

    486/487 @ Stormersboy:
I guess using the name “Plod” would have made more sense than using the name “Smittie” in that context 😆

I recon Superbul can explain himself without me going to a great deal of effort to interpret his posts.

Smacked of bad timing and irrational bias to me.

Not to me. “Plod” is a swear word, as is “turbo reverse”

    😀

    Takes me back though.

  • 491

    489 @ Stormersboy:
Yes, the timing wasn’t very good.
To each his own I guess

  • 492

    490 @ Stormersboy:
Lol, and even now Smittie can’t win, because he is at the head of the enemy once again, albeit in an administrative role

  • 493

    @ Stormersboy:

    😆

    Korrec.

Sure, he has the right to his opinion, as we have to criticize it.

Just people’s points of view at the end of the day.

  • 495

    @ nortie:

To take delight in the guys injury and then whinge about him being a softy seems off.

    But that’s probably just me.

  • 496

He’s probably wishing he had Nortiers delete comment function.

    😆

Us prefects can only edit posts on articles that we author. Only the head boy can edit across the board.

    Unfortunately.

    😀

    @ Stormersboy:

Aha that explains why so many of his go undeleted.

    😆

    @ Stormersboy:

The same six players seems to top the stats, it could also be because they played in all the tests
Le Roux, Serfontein, Vermeulen, Etzebeth, Reinach and Coetzee

    Bissie’s stats is also disappointing

Victor had the most tackles but that’s all

Maybe Brendan Venter is right, the old guys don’t do enough to warrant keeping them in the side?

  • 504

    @ Stormersboy:

    Forwards desperately lack ball carriers.

Stormersboy’s stats of the EOYT seems to confirm the above contention …

  • 507

    @ gunther:
504 Hi pal.Derided by many ,but Alberts was missed.
Doubly so if Eben decides to do his “dying swan” enactment.
Regards pal.Jolly tonight, recent comments made re the great
    Rob Louw apply.You will understand.
Hope that the knee is good.

  • 508

I guess it is sacrilege to question Vic’s contribution …
    or isn’t it?

  • 509

    @ ryecatcher:

Good to hear you are doing well.

Alberts missed at 7 big time.

  • 510

Topping the list of tackles made not bad for an over the hill 37 year old.

    😆
