    Aah…the Goon is back.

    How you doing?

  • 392

“…he supports “certain” players and “certain” coaches.”

With his little innuendos of course. Not man enough to spit it out?

  • 393

    @ Nama:

    Awesome thanks.

Went to a wedding yesterday and thought to myself “who gets married when the rugby is on” when I saw the highlights this morning I thought auberge bride had made the right call.

    😆

    @ gunther:

And after midnight on a Saturday the goal posts shifts 5 metres to the left.

    @ gunther:
You were lucky. It was painful to watch. 😯

I’m sure you can substantiate that…or can you? Devilish

How unlucky can one man be?

2007 he got injured in the 1st match of the WC and didn’t play again.
2011 he got injured in the 1st match again and only returned in the 1/4 finals when the Boks were knocked out.
Now he is doubtful for next year after the coach said that he was the only certainty for the 2015 WC.

2003 he was injured in the final “trial/warm up” game before the WC

Hope you weren’t part of that pre wedding group at Peddler’s yesterday afternoon.

From my last post to this

The tactical kick is totally forgotten or rather can not be executed by a player with brains, who wants to dictate in a Springbok jersey.
Naas would still be a great winning factor in this team/game plan. Think back how he turned wings, how he caught players out of position. flatter shorter kicks, not this hanging kicks.
The Bok camp must ban these up , hanging kicks. we lose more than we gain.

JdeV was made Bok captain for the WC 3 years back. My stance is the same for the last 10 years, it started with JS being SA,s 5th best hooker and he was only in the team for his captaincy. Well history tells us that did not work. His record did never climb or rather soar. We were blooming lucky that all opposition was out of our way in 2007. Jean the same i know many here feel he is a crucial player. I think the Springbok backline is impotent and he is blocking great prospects for the building of a proper centre pairing.

Our kick and chase was better with chasers like Bjorn Basson and Zane Kirschner. They went higher than the opponents and in fact got their hands on the ball first.

They kick under instruction. Ball 5 from must be a up and under ball 8 out on the full

ever thought of kicking it out 5 meter and take a quick throw in?

Jamie Roberts warned us before the Test, he even gave us advice. But our head in the sand coaching staff could not see it from there.

“We’re bracing for a big aerial battle and certainly a physical encounter.”

Roberts said Wales were determined to make up for the All Blacks defeat by holding on for the full 80 minutes.

“Mental fatigue in the last 10 minutes meant we made some poor decisions,” he said.

“Rugby’s a simpler game than we try and make it sometimes and that’s the beauty of the All Blacks, they play the game so well and so simply.

I just read that Jaque also retired, how bad can it get for HM. next might be JdeV and heaven behold Victor

There has been a mixed reaction from critics and fans to the decisions made by Bakkies Botha and Jaque Fourie to call time on their international careers.

Those who feel the Boks are in danger of going to the World Cup with an old squad that requires too much off-field maintenance welcomed it and hoped that it would be the start of a trend, while those who believe experience is the most crucial ingredient for World Cup success greeted the news with alarm.

And in other news, a 55 yearold cricket umpire died after being hit by a ball during a match in Israel yesterday.

He was a former captain of their national team.

    RIP

    Imagine FduP also does it.

Would anyone but Me think they are simply tired of the K#k game they are forced to play?

  • 409

    @ superBul:
Jacques is a problem…he was the chosen nr 13, no other specialist 13 has been selected, only makeshift ones.
HM has a problem now, does he stick with Jan, who isn’t a 13 or does he somehow get Fransie back?

  • 410

    @ BrumbiesBoy:
Sad, sport is a dangerous job. RIP

  • 411

    @ nortie:
You know how i feel , sadly he is not building a team. He is hoping old experienced players from Jake and PdeV,s era will somehow click and pull the rabbit out of the hat.
Damn we need Snorries humor NOW

  • 412

    @ superBul:
I feel for Jean, it should not even have been necessary for him to have played those last 2 games.
If his injury is so serious that he can’t continue, then Victor will be captain at the WC.

  • 413

    @ superBul:
In post 284 you said: “12 – finally we are relieved from mr nice guy”

Now you’ve said: @ 406 “how bad can it get for HM, next might be JdeV … ”

Last night it seemed as if you were almost delighted with Jean’s injury….are you having 2nd thoughts now ??

  • 414

    @ charlesm:

    Correct.

    A twattish thing to say.

Gutted for Jean that guy has the worst luck.

  • 415

    @ charlesm:
charles i have NEVER been a Jean fan. Our backline is DEAD, he is in the team at the cost of renewal. So my statement about HM is meant. HM build his whole castle on Jean, surely HE, HM will feel aggrieved. Sorry i dont. JdeV is a softie, plays like a softie and talk like one. He is brushed aside by all the referees.

    gunther wrote:

He was lucky that HM wanted him to get to 100 tests. Sorry boys , show me You tube clips like the AB,s can show us. Good skilful tries. Not wishy washy intercepts while his team is losing to the AB,s. HE IS NOT THE ONLY PLAYER THAT WE ARE CLINGING ON TO, WAY beyond their sell by date.

We have the obsession to play with teams who have 700 caps or more.

    We learn nothing from NZ

  • 418

    @ superBul:
A softie that has played more than 100 test matches ?? Initially HM appointed Jean as interim captain but afterwards decided to make him his regular captain. Therefore you should question HM’s decision. Why would HM keep him on as national captain ??

Although Jean is past his best it is IMO still pathetic to say that “we are relieved of mr nice guy”.

There are players I don’t like but will surely not say something like that if they are injured!! I’ll never wish injuries upon anybody !!

  • 419

If i had time i would show that no New Zealand winger played 100 tests, i cant even think of a 60 test winger in NZ. I might be right, but they come fast and furious and then new blood brings new skills.
Christiaan Cullen i think had about 60 tests.

you are trying to make a big issue about what i said. Take a look at your own words
    charlesm wrote:

this is bullshit that we must like all.
    Like you said charlesm wrote:

Initially HM appointed Jean as interim captain

If the decision is taken out of HM hand time will tell if HM can really adjust or a opening is there for a great new center. Who is that player in the Lions team?
Sorry i feel that We pay for the players salary(DSTV is the main reason rugby is still so big) so i can like whoever i want.
Think how others feel about Pierre Spies.
He might be HM,s next man
