@ MacroBok:
Ek stem saam met jou oor Smith. Onthou net, hy het maar eers twee jaar gelede (2012) internasionaal begin speel. Basies dieselfde jaar as Janneman (net 6 maande vroeer) en wat kan ons van ons “prodigy” se? Vokkol.
“We have a lot of great players coming back, 25 players.” (HM)
That’s just 6 less then the world cup squad that we are going to take over.
Who are these 25 players, if we already had more than 30 in Europe on tour?
Is HM vokken mal?

Bokke speel nie soos n span nie
@ grootblousmile:
You lost away tests to NZ/Aust/Ireland/Wales and scraped past the Argies away in the last second, when exactly do you think a good time would be to over-react?
At least you have ‘parity’ with the Ab’s 😀 😀
Only saw the second half but congatulations to the Poms
(Spit, spit spit)
But off on the Toy Run with a mate later, it is an annual motorcycle run which starts from four different points & converges on a central point with an “entrance fee” of at least one gift per rider which goes to charities for underpriveliged kids.
The event is alsoheld countrywide & thousands of bikers take part, I went last year & thoroughly enjoyed it.
Irish proved we are susceptible to rush defence.
Don’t think Hougie should ever wear a Bok jersey … in wet conditions.
@ Nama:
Janneman het nog niks verkeerd gedoen nie, hy het wel n paar goeie goed gedoen.
Meeste Legende Springbokke sal sukkel om by Aaron Smith te kom.
Watched the repeat now, seems like the Welsh were just so much more up for the game.
They tackled anything in green like men possessed, worrying is that they looked stronger in the tackle, many times they drove our big ball runners backwards in the tackle.
2014 wasn’t a great year for Bok rugby, yes, we managed to beat the All Blacks once, but we were very fortunate to win in the last few minutes against a side that actually did more than us on the day.
We should have lost to Wales at home, and against Argentina away.
Last year, even though we lost twice against the AB’s we looked much better and beat most opposition more convincingly, so either it’s the dreaded 3rd year syndrome for the coach or we have regressed somewhat.

HM owes that Supersport producer a gold watch…
😆
How different things would be now if we lost that game.
@ Jeraldjay:
We would probably have done more during this tour.
Going to be a bumpy ride in next year’s WC.
@ nortie:
Hi Nortie…. the rush defence of the Welsh can be overcome through an accurate kick and chase game… but the work has to be done in the forwards and ball runners getting over the advantage line and having the opposition moving back on their heels…which gives your insides nine and ten that slight extra freedom to execute their kicks… creating time and space for the backs is manufactured by the forwards doing their job. Without the symbiosis between forwards and backs.. you might as well play ten man Rugby..
Frans Steyn kom huis toe en gaan vir die Sharks beskikbaar wees in SR.
Met Gary Gold nou ook daar gaan die wae “Goue Era” nou waarlik aanbreek.
Hiep…hiep…
@ Te Rangatira:
“…the rush defence of the Welsh can be overcome through an accurate kick and chase game…”
You’ve just paved the way for the return of Fourie du Preez and Morne Steyn as our half back combination next year.
@ Nama:
Lol… I hope so… but we know Nama, you and I, that you need more than accurate kicking and players getting over the advantage to win consistently at Test level..I liked your comment on finding the middle ground…something Meyer has failed to achieve…
372 @ Te Rangatira:
Hi TR , yep, but what I saw from yesterday was that our bigger and stronger forwards were treated like rag dolls by the Welsh.
You Kiwis know better than most that we don’t really pride ourselves on a “brains” game, we prefer thinking we can beat sides with the “brawn” game.
To illustrate the point that brains are not required, no better example than Hougaard taking a tap kick from a penalty, runs one meter and then promptly hoofs it out on the full.
Passing is optional for SA players, we are supposedly stronger than all other countries, so we just think we will run through everyone.
@ Nama:

farken sarcastic bastard.
😡
373 @ Nama:
A shoo in for the 2015 Conference Cup, all the boxes ticked once again….only hiccup is the Kiwis and Aussies also have Conference winners, who usually end up as the proper winners
@ nortie:
The Welsh were up for this game and theIr were factors of a long season and missing players for the Bok..I still think this game has no bearing on the Bok WC chances… but what I find interesting is Meyer’s public announcements before this tour about the great record he and his team had on their two previous tours to the NH… and then they suffer two losses… just unnecessary pressure being put on the team by highlighting ones record in public imo.
@ Charo:
Morning all
Let me start off by saying that we were outplayed and out-thought by the Frikkie’s yesterday.
That being said, the ref blew like he was wearing red as well.
More questions than answers from the tour I think.
Regarding the yellow on Hendricks….after watching the incident this morning, I see it was just a case of asking for the replay and then getting it wrong, but I was thinking about the up and under tactic.
How many yellow cards have the Boks received this year because of competing for the ball, compared to how many tries have we scored because of successfully competing for the ball?
Does this tactic really work and is it worth the risk?
There are a couple of silver linings on this dark cloud hanging abov the rugby landscape in SA today.
1. We could’ve lost to Wales in Nelspruit but won through a penalty try in the last minute.
We could’ve lost to the Argies away from home.
We could’ve lost against the AB at Ellispark but won through a dubious penalty in the last minute.
We could’ve lost against England two weeks ago.
So, instead of a 9/13 record for the year, we could’ve had a 5/13 record. Now, that would’ve been a disaster.
2. Instead of Aus, we could’ve been grouped together with Wales and England for the RWC next year which would’ve open up the possibility of a 1st round exit. Fortunately we are not and we can at least look forward to reaching the 2nd round.
So, chin up… I guess.
It does not look good for Jean is seems
@ MacroBok:
Nope.
Thanks Meyer for Jinxing it by saying that his position is the only one who is secure.
I wonder who they will call up to replace JdV on tour? 😆
383 @ Nama:
Based on your post over all these years I’m convinced you a confused AB supporter.
You would enjoy watching the game more if you just came out the closet and owned up to it.
@ MacroBok:
How unlucky can one man be?
2007 he got injured in the 1st match of the WC and didn’t play again.
2011 he got injured in the 1st match again and only returned in the 1/4 finals when the Boks were knocked out.
Now he is doubtful for next year after the coach said that he was the only certainty for the 2015 WC.
@ Jeraldjay:
Nope…never was. I supported France back in the day.
Do admire the way they play the game though.
@ Jeraldjay:
😆
He almost filled his nappy when the “stupid” welsh wing fluffed Pollards penalty kick and the Boks got away with a scrum.
I think he’s confused in that he supports “certain” players and “certain” coaches.
😆
