Prop forwards Quintin Esterhuyzen and Shaun de Preez have been called up as replacements to join the Namibian team in Carcavelos, Portugal, ahead of Namibia’s final match of their Northern Hemisphere tour.
The pair will join the team later this week as cover after loosehead Jaco Engels injured a hamstring in the match against the French Barbarians.
Engels is undergoing medical treatment and his recovery will be monitored, while the other regular Namibian props Johnnie Redelinghuys and Andrè Schlechter returned home due to personal commitments.

The rehabilitation of loose forward Tinus du Plessis is also continuing after he picked up a calf injury in Wales at the start of the tour.
The 27-year old du Preez made his debut for Namibia in his country’s 55-35 win over Kenya on November 16 in Windhoek last year and has four caps to date.
Uncapped Quintin Esterhuysen has come through the ranks of Namibian rugby, he represented Namibia as the Craven Week and has also played for his country’s Under-19 and Under-20 teams.
The Namibian side arrived in Portugal Sunday after traveling from Toulon in France where the were defeated 14-35 by the French Barbarians on Friday.
The players had a flush out session shortly after arriving in the coastal city and on Monday will resume preparations for their international against Portugal on Saturday.
