Expected weather: Mostly sunny with a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C – good weather for rugby.
Referee: Wayne Barnes (England)
Assistant Referees: Pascal Gauzère (France), JP Doyle (England)
TMO: Graham Hughes (England)
One thing I know,, Pollard played Cruden back onto the plane…
Matfield the legend….
@ nortie:
And deservedly so Naughty.
@ MacroBok:
No Macro,
Liam gives everything 110%.
Just a bit of bad luck.
MOTM should have been Heineken Meyer.
Man,………………………….. does that guy go through some emotional turmoil during a Test Match.
@ cane:
All of us went ape when that kick went over. Guaranteed everyone jumped up screaming, even Nortie.
@ MacroBok:
Well done to you and yours Macro.
Great, great Test Match.
And no whinging about the Ref???????
Amazing what a difference a win makes. 😀
@ MacroBok:
And here was me thinking with 3 minutes to go, that we had it sewn up. 😕
Goodnight All.
And when you go to your rest tonight, sleep well.
This win over NZ has done NZ Rugby a great service.
We learn more from Our loses than we do from Our victory’s.

The ref was AWESOME 😀
Ja. that always happen.. The ref is average,,, but when you win nobody cares…
Barnes was ok, but still the AB’s keep falling on the ball, obstructing in general and being borderline or over the border in all things ruck and maul.
The Ab’s had anything between 5 and 10 decisions go their way yesterday.
Holding the ball on the ground, again, rucks mauls, again, playing players in the air (Habana and Etsebeth) etc etc.
AB’s still get the rub of the referee in most decisions.
But still we won. Still it was a good game. Regardless of the continuous approach of AB’s to play a gameplan where the refs can not conceive to blow 35 penalties against them,, because its the way they play..
Ja. Its true.
@ MacroBok:
Yes Macro,
yes he was.
Barnsie did a sterling job.
@ shooter:
Crap.
Open your other shooter.
If NZ had between 5 and 15 go their way then so did the Boks.

This is the 3rd test that the Boks are winning by 1-2 pints in the 78-80 minutes of the match
(Wales, Argie and the ABs)
Test rugby are governed by the protocol, not by the Home Tv producers and you know that 😉
So although the penalty was LEGAL, it was awarded in contravention of the the IRB protocol, finish and claar!
Cane. Your players get away with more. Its a fact. And nevermind cards, just the general way you play…… which allows you to get front-foot against most teams,, and then where and when after you have the momentum you keep piling into loose scrums and walking through it, some personnel then pummeling in from the side in confusion.. etc.
Anyway. I don’t expect any NZ’r to agree.

Correct call and correct protocol.
Hi Guy
Just so happy and proud to be a springbok supporter What a great win.
Amazing atmosphere and excellent hard game by 2 sides that are now IMO even.
Why did we win?
We have a decent 10
No Pienaar
Solid Midfield
3 very good wings
Hougaard has improved and great defense
Quality locks
The Best # 8 in the world
We are keeping ball in hand and making better decions when to kick, and better kicks.
Just think if Habana had not be unfairly yellow carded Vs Oz and Morne had got his touch in the last few min, and we had beaten OZ.
No sure if we would have won the RC?
@ CoachPete:
Yep even after the lows against the Argies, we were still basically 3 minutes away from winning both games in Australasia.
@ MacroBok:
Yes
Just remember the argies come out hard at beginning of the tournament, so they played us tough.
We still had the incorrect 9 and 10.
We have improved with our decision making and not kicking away hard earned ball.
Vermeulen has grown into a great player.
I feel boks are improving, and could get better, while ABs are marking time still great but very beatable 😛
@ CoachPete:
Our breakdown has improved significantly over the last three years, Habana is fantastic, his ability competing for ball is a new trick he added to his game, then with Adriaan, Coetzee, DUANE, Janneman there we have players all around the park to challenge the oposition, all this while people said we NEED Brussow as a fetcher.
Gray has done a fantastic job, I just wish we keep getting good quick ball like the last two weeks, even Pienaar would have been a new player seeing how he improved before he got injured because our forwards were actually clearing out effectively.
@ CoachPete:
Howzit Coach
I guess you are one of the happier people in the States at least 😆 unlike that Philistine from Philadelphia, he must be a very sad fellow today
@ nortie:
Yep I am always happy when the boks win, especially against the ABs
a much, much better display from the boks after last week.
backs ran from a little deeper and looked to create space – unlike vs the aussies when it was constant bash up.
also, the forwards looked a lot more accurate at the breakdown. pity that jannie dup can sometimes be so thick at rucks. that penalty on their tryline when we were in complete control was unforgivable.
but heynecke must not rest on his laurels. we have a lot to improve on and this can only be achieved by getting experts into the coaching group. i am still of the view that we are employing amateurs simply because hm knows them and they follow his every word.
lastly, i wish the media would tone down the pollard praise-singing. the guy is a great prospect and should grow into one of the best 10’s in world rugby but this over-adulation could have a detrimental effect on his psyche.

Experts like Richie Gray?
Pieter de Villiers is not a supposed scrummage expert? Or maybe they just don’t respect him?
@ MacroBlouBul:
@ MacroBlouBul:
both richie and pieter are experts in my book.
the forward and backline coaches are not international standard. just my view.
@ Charo:
How are they not on international standard? who is?
and who judges people that are not of international standard?
@ MacroBlouBul:
van graan and loubsher are beginners at international level – or do you disagree?
just a pity that wpru grabbed gert smal – he would have been ideal for the boks.
backline coach? would have liked to see an aussie in the system – their style is ahead of most teams in the world.
