Touchie report… 7 WP without arms in a tackle?
Rhodes
TMO now trying to get the Cheetahs over the line.
Pathetic, after Jonker also looked for a high tackle that wasn’t there
Arghhhh, that’s nothing, nothing, nothing!
… and ruled as such
Farken TMO called Bonaparte, just as deur die kak as Napoleon
63 @ nortierd:
Hoe was Leyds?
WP penalty… very kickable… and the shot at goal is indeed preferred
Coleman misses the shot
Willie du Plessis tries a drop goal, missed way right
Good running by WP, from close to their own line
Staat kicks out directly… big mistake… 9 minutes to go
Scarra with a skew lineout feed… Staat scrum
Leyds way offside near his own 5m line and he cops a Yellow!
FS Cheetahs 29 / 27 WP
Now Kurt Coleman kicks directly out… even a bigger mistake in the context of the game and the time left.
Try Kobus van Wyk… WP bonus point now too… and under the sticks to boot
WP 34 / 29 FS Cheetahs
Time is up… and WP kicks it out… they win by 5
Final Score: DHL Western Province 34 / 29 Toyota Free State Cheetahs
Sharks to shred mountain goats in visdorpie next weekend …
Juan de Jongh pure Bok …

Would love to see him and Andre Esterhuizen together, now that kid is good
Well done Province…
well done wp… but not the most convincing effort… need to improve by 100% for the sharks this weekend… the sharks looked sharp and full of positive intent…
sorry to say dillyn leyds was nowhere… and we missed our two young lock stars-in-the-making…
have to say marius jonker had a terrible game… he told the tmo twice during play he wanted to look at two incidents… by elstadt and rhodes… to check them for dangerous play… both of which turned out to be nothing… but looked to me like he was looking for something to hang on them… because of their reputations for brain-burps… so lets just check ’em… we’re bound to find something to nail them with…
yet… earlier in the game when demitri took a late and no-arms tackle jonker completely ignored it… it was so late the cheetah wasn’t even if the frame when he kicked the ball and his feet were both back on the ground when he got hit…
when the cat asked jonker about it after the play broke down… jonker said “i didn’t see it…” surely that’s the whole point of the tmo… to check play the ref has missed or is unsure of…?
then a little later… another wp player asked jonker about something… and again jonker could be heard dismissing it with… “i didn’t see anything…”
wtf have a tmo if the ref refuses to use him for things he may have missed or been obscured from…?
anyway… we have a huge game against the sharks… wp need to pull their thumbs out…
