Griquas hooker Ryno Barnes will appear before a SARU disciplinary committee on Thursday after receiving a red card for verbally abusing referee Pro Legoete in the Currie Cup match against the Blue Bulls in Pretoria last Saturday.
Barnes received a Red Card for the incident in the 72nd minute, which was in breach of Law 10.4 (m) and (s).
Sport24
Law 10.4 (m) states that a player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship in the playing enclosure, while Law 10.4 (s) states that all players must respect the authority of the referee and must not dispute the referee’s decisions.
The hearing will take place on Thursday in Kimberley at 15:00.
Advocate Pieter Fischer has been appointed the judicial officer.
Ja Ryno “E-Pos” Barnes… dis ‘n wille woord daai!
@ grootblousmile:
Probleem is daai selde e-pos blaas nou die wp-Bulls semi!
A wise old man once told me, “Once you’ve become a fcuk up, you remain one for the rest of your life.”
It may be an apt saying in this case x2?
@ grootblousmile:
He should’ve rather pulled a Balie Swart and pulled a yellow card out of his pocket and shown it to that Custodian-of-the-law!
I’m sure the ref got sent a sternly worded e-pos.
4 @ MacroBlouBul:
If it was a Cape Crusader that e-mail may well have read something like, “Hey ref’, skut jou kop, djou Ma se P*#s sit vas.”
@ Scrumdown:
So he told “Pro” to shove his whistle up his hairy inbox?
I’m sure he won’t be the last.
There may be a few Bulls players on that train this Saturday.
😆
@ gunther:
haha it is make or break for PRO
@ MacroBlouBul:
Give him another kansie.
😆
@ gunther:
Hang af wie wen 😆
The “P” word?
He called the ref a Polkak?
