haha good point
it’s been a decidedly understated and muted reaction by wp supporters to our team’s win yesterday… very restrained… and understandably so…
yes… we don’t want to be wind…
but… ffs… we’re allowed to celebrate surely…?
so… for all my comrades in blue ‘n’ white stripes… i’m proud to be counted as one of you…
to all the players over the season and year… you’ve made us proud to be supporters…
now we gotta let freddie show everyone how we feel…
enjoy…!!
grrrrr…. dunno why it’s not wakking….!
could someone else please post it for me…??
cheers…
will have to go with just the audio….

š
hope you enjoyed the win.
with a little help from our friends…

oh okay… cool… i thought i’d broken something…!! š
yeah thanks macro… was squeaky bum time for all the second half… and have to feel for marnitz and the lions and lion supporters…
but happy nonetheless that we have to dust out the ol’ bare cabinet…!!
okay… cheers macro… (and the lurkers…) hehehe…
guess my matches are wet and the squib is damp…
sorry guys…
i tried…!!!

An ex colleague of mine once had to appear on TV to give expert input on an issue related to his field of expertise
This bloke has done a number of management courses….also held a MSc ….and he worked in a few different countries in a senior capacity.
And they briefed him…. so he knew exactly what they were going to ask him
The first question went well.. but then he froze… it came out of the blue… he could not remember a thing… and they could not use the material.
So Juan has my sympathy… it’s not as easy as it looks in front of the camera.
The Cat was a well deserved MoM imo.
He might not be the best running flyhalf in SA but he has what it takes to win finals
I hope Mr Mallett has the good grace to admit he was wrong and AC was right.
@ robzim:
Yes, Cat and Groom ruled the day! The were streets ahead of their counterparts. Boshoff should have been out on the pitch early morning practising his kicks, instead of slumbering in the air over the Karoo…
Nizaam Carr won the match in the red zone with a crucial turn-over, when the Lions pack was busy doing a demolition job and WP was headed for a yellow card, or even a possible penalty try…
In short, WP was the smarter team on the day, and deserved the win!
RIP Senzo Meyiwa.
The Pirates captain & reserve Bafana goalkeeper was shot dead in Vosloorus, Gauteng in what sounds like a hit.
Condolences to his family, team mates & friends.
@ BrumbiesBoy:
Eish, shocking news.
Also just learnt that Jack Bruce, great bassist, songwriter & vocalist of Cream, one of my all time favourite bands, passed away on Saturday.

I love listening to JdJ, that Wellington vernacular makes me homesick, makes me dream of SAD chutney, Bellingham wines, snoek and sweet potatoes…
I would much rather listen to him speaking off the top of his head, then having to suffer those parliamentarians attempting to read what others have written!
@ Angostura:
Great musician, started with Eric Clapton in the 60s.
RIP.
@ robzim:
What utter kuk.
The guy has been a pro sportsman for years and captain for the entire currie cup season and you are acting like it’s his first time in front of a microphone.
Just accept that he could have and should have been more gracious and enjoy the win.
š
@ gunther:
I am sure he meant to praise the Lions but was overawed by the occasion and just forgot his words.
It is not as if he had committed a crime.
Cut him some slack, I am sure he will have a few good words for the losing team in his winning speech after next year’s final.
š
RIP Senzo.
Tragic day for sport and for SA in general
Condolences to his family and friends

@ 617
One of the first “supergroups”.
Great player … but Ginger Baker won’t go to his funeral I guess š
@ robzim:
He was “overawed” the entire currie cup? š
@ robzim:
I’ll cut him some slack if you stop talking out of your bum.
š
I think JdJ should shun post match speeches & just jig a jig š – it is much more sincere & authentic than most speeches anyway
@ robzim:
Does Ginger Baker still have a penchant for the Western Cape, horses & African ladies (errr … in no particular order)?
The Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh cricket match is a thriller
Bangla need 17 runs and have 3 wickets left.
Chasing 101 for the win and they were 0/3 at one stage, Zimbos are fighting hard!
Im happy with the bok squad
Senatla and Kriel would probably both make any team better
