    Oh I see.

I thought you were talking about the squad for the eoyt sice HM is going to announce it today afa I understand.

Would be interesting to see if any newcomers from WP and the Lions would be included since HM did not have a chance to work with them in the wider squad.

I guess yesterday was the last chance that JdV had of winning the CC. He, as well as Schalk Burger, will now go down as two great WP players to never won the CC.

Pakistan need 3 wickets against the Aussies with 2 sessions left.

Is it true that a giant set of rugby posts have been erected on top of the mountain?

So big that they can be seen from space?

JDJ’s post match speaches were a pain to listen to all currie cup.

I dont get why people are giving credit to Gert smal.

The last two years PW has won 19/24 games.

Including 9/12 last year. The difference is one game against a super shark side.

Yeah gert may change a few things. .. But well done do AC as well.

May they be just as bad against quality teams in SR next year πŸ˜€

    We can’t wait,,,, πŸ˜‰

    @ MacroBlouBul:

We’re talking about a more attack minded style of play which Gert aspires to. Rather than one built more on defence which has been AC’s forte.

But I’m deeply touched that you’ve taken an interest. Thanks for that. πŸ˜†

  • 581

    @ Hondo:

You can’t wait to count the number of quotas in the squad.

    We all get that. πŸ™„

  • 582

    @ IAAS:
(counter) attack minded… note gloryboy aplon has also left since 2013 πŸ˜€

The problem is that de Jongh spoke after Whiteley who was exceptional .. best I have heard a captain in any sport speaking for a very long time .. he said all the right things and gave all the right credit to the winning team…and he came across as genuine in his delivery too….

de Jongh was on par to most of the other CC Captains… its not everybody who is a natural in front of the camera and has the gift of the gab

  • 584

    @ robzim:
thats the truth. many CC captains th is year just isnt very charismatic. that said. Tera from the sharks gave a good speach last week.

JDJ just has an odd way of those speaches all year… its all easy when things are going well. but I wonder if he can inspire his troops when things are not going so well. in the hypathetical case JDV misses a month or two because of injury.

  • 585

    @ MacroBlouBul:

there’s more to life than Aplon who did great things for the Stormers and Province. But the set-up are trying to embrace a more 15 man style of play. Which is what many of us have been calling for. For a long time.

  • 586

what is the status of kolbes drunk driving court case? wpru is doing well to keep it quiet

  • 587

    @ MacroBlouBul:

The thing is this. Not everyone can express themselves when suddenly a microphone is thrust in your face – in front of 50,000 others. And a television audience of millions.

Most people, in that situation, will forget their own names.

But the guy will learn – he’ll be making a lot more victory speeches for the Stormers/Province over the next few years. πŸ˜†

  • 588

    @ IAAS:
wp still has those one off runners when cat plays. will be different with coleman at 10. and kitchofr also due to come back loves standing there… its your counter attack thay is phenominal and the envy from specially bulls supporters.

Aplon left and made way for an even betting r rugby play er. that little kolbe

  • 589

    @ robzim:
I’m not saying JdJ should have given the speech of the year but was it that difficult to have given a little credit to the Lions ? I think not

  • 590

    @ IAAS:
whats this the 11th time in 12 weeks? and now suddenly he is shy? haha

  • 591

    @ charlesm:

When people get into leadership positions, you go on these presentation type courses where you do presentations/interviews in front of the camera. Juan, I am sure, will go on one of those soon. it’s not just after the match interviews – which are brief – but others where more opinions are sought. Some are naturals. Jean de Villiers, looks relaxed and comfortable doing that. It’s also difficult when talking when it’s not your mother tongue. As I said to Macro, the guy will get a lot more practice in future years – and will improve.

  • 592

    @ IAAS:
So you see Juan as a long term captain?

  • 593

    @ MacroBlouBul:

Did I say television audience of millions?

    I meant billions. πŸ˜†

You have a healthy interest in all matters Province. I like that. 😎

  • 594

    @ MacroBlouBul:

Well Jean deV won’t be around forever. Next SR will be his last. And Juan is AC’s choice – and he seems to command the respect of the group. And he leads from the front – he’s that type of leader. He won’t leave anything on the pitch.

  • 595

    @ IAAS:
    Billions?

Thats probably what JDJ thought as well, all listening to him πŸ˜†

  • 596

    @ IAAS:
Well good, give him ago, will be interesting to see how “humble” he remains when his team hits a bump πŸ˜†

  • 597

Juan did start off by saying that the Lions made it difficult for them, that’s some sort of recognition at least.
Whiteley spoke well, but too correct IMO, by mentioning how “WP gave them a hard time in the set pieces” was just PC, not fact, we all know it wasn’t the case.

  • 598

    @ nortie:
    Set pieces=scrums
He mentioned how WP gave them a hard time in the scrums, and that was plain BS

  • 599

    @ nortie:
I suppose it is just tough to follow JDV

  • 600

    @ MacroBlouBul:
That too, but I would rather have my captain lifting the trophy than giving a good loser speech πŸ˜†
