Better just ignore him, you are well respected here by most, no need to drag it to that guy’s gutter level

Maybe not the whiskey, but it gets you the champagne

Of course your opinion is welcome …

But a controversial opinion would normally cop some flak (& I’m sure you realise that)

BTW, you should post more (whether your opinion is non mainstream, or part of the herd)

    @ nortierd:

    How did Pollard play?

  • 395

    @ nortierd:
he hasn’t warmed yet, should have thrown it short to 4
    someone mentioned it already
But he managed to connect no problem with Whiteley?
That FWD pass by wunderkind Pollard to Serfontein is what lost the Test

OK, my Bok Report Card, as follows:

Front Row: The initial front row of Beast, Strauss and Doc Jannie functioned very well today… pity Bismarck du Plessis had to come and spoil it with a woeful performance on the day

Locks: Victor Matfield remains the best No 5 lock in the world, even at his advanced age. Took his lineouts, scrummed well, made many tackles. Eben Etzebeth was abnormally quiet but still solid.

Looseforwards: Flow, Coetzee and Thormeulen were massive… specially Thormeulen

Scrumhalf: Better day for Ruan Pienaar, but still not the answer or solution… and neither is Hougaard, it seems.

Flyhalf: Handré Pollard had an outstanding Test… and I doubted him before the game.

Centres: The best combination is when Jan Serfontein runs and defends in the inside centre position, even with a No 13 on the back. Solid game by both centres, stoid on defence!

Wings: Brilliant game by Habana, made a few telling runs and stole quite a few ground balls. Brillian try by Hendricks and great on defence.

Fullback: Mixed bag for Willie le Roux… not his best game, but still OK.

Replacements: Bismarck du Plessis – woeful, Lood de Jager – offered nothing, Lambie – pathetic and way off his game, Whiteley – solid, The Trevor – solid, Marcel van der Merwe – not on the pitch for long.

Come on man, read your comment again, that is the most biased thing i have read all week.

I apologize for calling you a clown, I take it back,

But seriously, your going to blame Matfield for Bissie missing 3 lineouts at crucial times? Unbelievable.

    Agreed.
Players at this level must perform right from the go.
Bismarck was poor today, finish en klaar.

Champagne is for special occasions, whiskey is the staples!

Very well, really showed he is the real deal.
Kid has a great future ahead of him.
Forwards were very good, so he had some good ball, but his decisions were spot on

    It depends whom you ask
For me he is average, no Lem, no Stransky, no Butch either
His relieve kicks along the right line were appalling

Congratulations All Blacks. Defended very well at the end to hang on for the win. Enjoy the win Cane, NZinCHina, Te Rangatira, Popps et al…

Well played Boks… I know I’ll get flamed for this but… very proud of the team… even though they lost this one…
Showed some fantastic touches and great innovation today… so much for the terrible game plan… 😉

Duane my MOTM too… Sure Reid had a couple of great touches… but Duane far more involved and effective throughout the game…

Great game by Pollard too… Think we have at last found our flyhalf to take us forwards…! Great composure and skills showed by the young man…

My only negative…. like last week… was the subbing… Subs let us down again… Why, in a tight match like this make all these naive ‘loyalty’ subs Heyneke…? Sure for injuries… but just giving guys a few minutes for the hell of it must stop… PLEASE…!

Hey Charles… don’t go anywhere bud… your comments and insight are always welcome… You make up the lack of insight from guys like me…!! 😉

  • 410

    @ ufo:
The subs did let us down, but I really thought bissie would come on and blow them away and give us some heroics.

  • 411

    @ ufo:
No one is going to flame you unless you say something like, Hougaard was pisspoor because whitely was standing at the wrong side of the ruck Wink

  • 412

    @ MacroBok:
hy begin vir my al hoe minder na n team player lyk, en al hoe meer na n glory dog….. tyd om stock te vat van hoeveel hy nog vir die bokke werd is

  • 413

    410 @ MacroBok:

Yeah Macro… I just thought Adriaan was having an awesome game and even before Bissie came on I was saying to my mates they should let Adriaan play on for longer… Bissie was (and has been) decidedly off-colour… he needs to sort his buttons before he’s allowed into the sewing room… IMO…

    411 @ MacroBok:

as long as i’m not accused of settling for mediocrity again…!! 😉

    just teasing norts,,,!! 😆

391Nonsense Charles. You know more about the game than all other
posters here.Don,t go.You do,yes “DO” so much for the game
which other posters are ignorant of.I value your input, particularly
on forward play.I wish that you were not so modest amd that
you would publish your credentials on this blog.

    @ smallies:

  • 417

    @ ufo:
I’m with you on this game UFO.
Twice we have lost to the AB’s, Ellis Park and today, that has felt better to me than a hollow victory over minnows.
Sometimes a loss when we play really well against the best in the world feels better than a victory when we underperform?
I just wish we can always play like this, and not just when we have our backs to the wall.
Was a fantastic game, by both sides, well reffed, and made for awesome viewing.
I really wish we could have gotten over the line at the end

Hey woe, I never had a go at him in general, I strongly disagree with him for putting the blame on someone else though in that one post.

Charls is as welcome here as anyone, but we should not hold hands and always agree with eachother.

418 Agreed MB.But this Charles guy is an authority on forward play,Thanks for your apology on the “clown”comment.
