Spring has sprung:
It is 1 September 2014… and yes, 2 thirds of the year has flown by already… in the blink of an eye!
1 September is Spring Day in the Southern Hemisphere, a time for regeneration, rejuvination, renewal and a general litf in the mood after yet another winter has come and gone.
I remember how we could not wait for Spring Day when I was a boy… many, many, many moons ago, because we were allowed to swim as from the start of September. You would not catch me dead in the pool today though, as I believe the seasons have shifted considerably over the years and it often still gets bloody cold right through September at times.
The Solar Panels heating the water flowing out and back into our pool has been activated though… for those brave enough to take a plunge.
This coming weekend we look forward to more Rugby Championship rugby, with the games between the All Blacks vs Pumas in New Zealand and the Wallabies vs Springboks in Perth, Australia. This weekend also sees 4 ABSA Currie Cup games in South Africa, whilst the ITM Cup in New Zealand and the NRC in Australia also continues.
What a wonderful life we have… wonderful family, friends, rugby friends and the blessing of being alive and generally well!
Tuesday PUB NIGHTS:
Last week we decided to host a PUB NIGHT on Tuesday evening, where music and Comedy was to be celebrated…. and with an eye on it becomming a weekly institution. Well it worked so well and was such a huge success that it is indeed going to become a weekly institution!
But this week is going to be a little different, we are also going to throw the BLOG WIDE OPEN, so that EVERYBODY CAN COMMENT, even if not registered at Rugby-Talk.com.
So, how does this work?
Well, registered users will Login as per normal and chat as normal, whilst visitors also get the chance to comment. Hopefully this opens the door to all the “Pirate Viewers” , for lack of a better word, out there to enjoy the festivities of Rugby-Talk.com’s PUB NIGHT and thereafter decide to register as well when the blog is closed again for only registered users to comment.
August Visitor Stats on Rugby-Talk.com:
Rugby-Talk.com has never done better and in August 2014 we have had a massive, massive month, with the HIGHEST EVER monthly Page Impressions recorded! We reached a staggering 468 896 Page Impressions for the calendar month!
After only 8 months gone in 2014, we have already comfortably passed the total amount of Page Impressions for the entire 2013 year (2.951 Million Page Impressions), and we currently already stand on an impressive 3.265 Million Page Impressions for 2014. A simple projection would suggest that we should hit very, very close to 4.9 Million Page Impressions for the 2014 Calendar year.
Happy Spring, everybody!
Regards,
Wow …………….that should put a spring in your step groot.
Remember folks, tomorrow night (Tuesday Night) and every TUESDAY from now on will be PUB NIGHT on Rugby-Talk.com.
That’s where the music flows, where the Night Owls hang out… where the fun happens!
But tomorrow we do it a bit differently… Registered Users still Login as per usual… and chat as per usual. But we will also throw the Blog OPEN FOR NON-REGISTERED USERS, for PUB NIGHT, so that effectively ANYBODY can comment on the evening!
So, here’s hoping that the plethera of Ex-Voldy “Pirate Readers” as well as all other readers will join in the fun… see how nice it is… and of course also take the plunge to officially register on Rugby-Talk.com!
Late, late night SA time, we will just close the blog down again for only Registered Users to be able to comment.
