OK, a special for the Ex-Voldy bloggers… we will keep this Hore Thread ALIVE for a while.. so go ahead, get your records!!
Former All Blacks hooker Andrew Hore has answered an S.O.S. to come out of retirement and provide injury cover for Southland.
The loss of veteran hooker Jason Rutledge has left the Stags with problems in the middle of their front row.
That saw skipper Jamie Mackintosh put a call in to his mate Hore to twist his arm to help out in Invercargill.
Rugby Heaven
And it seems to have worked. The Stags have confirmed Hore is training with their squad, but will only get involved in match play if one of their two remaining hookers gets injured.
Hore retired from top rugby last year after 83 tests for the All Blacks, though he has played matches for the British Barbarians and a World XV this year against international sides.
Hore’s previous NPC play has been with Taranaki and Otago.
The Stags have gotten off to a good start in this year’s NPC, with wins over Bay of Plenty and North Harbour.
They host neighbours Otago on Saturday.

Escom is the Electircity Supply Commission of South Africa.
Basically the Electricity Supplier to the whole of SA… they sell to the local municipalities, who sell to the public.
Bunch of numbnuts!
Must say SARU comes close to being just as useless…. but hey Escom, they are the worst!
Well another milestone has come and gone.
Thanks too Mr Brumby the talking Pony, GB&I, cunther, groot, Nortie and Robert Zimmerframe.
@ cane:
So when there’s no power – Escom is to blame! Guess that IS his biggest headache.
I was thinking of the issue with the renewal of the page/site name recently that pissed him off.
@ GoBokkeAndIreland:
I’m trying to do a little work as well GB&I.
😉
Soon.
OK, cheers all, lunch is finished, back to the dungeon I go.
Been great…Long Live The Hore
@ grootblousmile:
Good, (well not good really groot).
But good, in that if you were not here, and someone actually wanted to answer the question………………………I would have marked it correctly.
😉
@ cane:
LOL! What kind of work are you doing where you get to drink whilst doing it? Sounds like my kind of job!
🙂
@ BrumbiesBoy:
Bye.
@ GoBokkeAndIreland:
Just some Invoicing.
Have you guys checked the Spring Day Article and Rugby-Talk’s stats mentioned there?
Well we have gotten past 800.
There is now light at the end of the tunnel.
And the light is not dual headlights OO.
But triple lights OOO.
@ cane:
Ok, cool. Then a few drinks are certainly no issue. It’s not like you guarding a nuclear stockpile, or shipment of gold or anything like that!
😉
@ grootblousmile:
Excellent work Rudi! Thanks for all your hard work for the rugby community.
@ GoBokkeAndIreland:
If I was guarding a nuclear stockpile.
I would not be guarding it for long.
If I had access to the launch buttons that is.
Well……………….. maybe longer than I think.
I may get confused about who to hit first.
The options ……………………so many options.
The world just seems to get crazyier by the day.
I would fix all that.
I gotta go.
Just remember, Hores are people too.
@ cane:
Cheers Cane. Good luck with the elusive 1000 . . .
Remember folks, tomorrow night (Tuesday Nights) and every Tuesday from now on will be PUB NIGHT on Rugby-Talk.com.
That’s where the music flows, where the Night Owls hang out… where the fun happens!
But tomorrow we do it a bit differently… Registered Users still Login as per usual… and chat as per usual.
But we will also throw the Blog OPEN FOR NON-REGISTERED USERS, for PUB NIGHT, so that effectively ANYBODY can comment on the evening!
So, here’s hoping that the plethera of Ex-Voldy “Pirate Readers” as well as all other readers will join in the fun… see how nice it is… and of course also take the plunge to officially register on Rugby-Talk.com!
Late, late night SA time, we will just close the blog down again for only Registered Users to be able to comment.
@ grootblousmile:
Nice idea GBS. Hope some of the good/fun/interesting old characters pop in.
Sounds like Caner has had his party already.
😆
Looks like the bus has stalled.
Let me try the ignition……………………
Last weekend I saw Daniel Carter respond to Joost Van Der Vesthuisens (spelling) Ice Bucket Challenge. (onTV that is).
Battery must be flat…………..
Could be the starter motor.
Bound to be something electrical
