Andrew Hore

Andrew Hore

OK, a special for the Ex-Voldy bloggers… we will keep this Hore Thread ALIVE for a while.. so go ahead, get your records!!

Former All Blacks hooker Andrew Hore has answered an S.O.S. to come out of retirement and provide injury cover for Southland.

The loss of veteran hooker Jason Rutledge has left the Stags with problems in the middle of their front row.

That saw skipper Jamie Mackintosh put a call in to his mate Hore to twist his arm to help out in Invercargill.

Rugby Heaven

And it seems to have worked. The Stags have confirmed Hore is training with their squad, but will only get involved in match play if one of their two remaining hookers gets injured.

Hore retired from top rugby last year after 83 tests for the All Blacks, though he has played matches for the British Barbarians and a World XV this year against international sides.

Hore’s previous NPC play has been with Taranaki and Otago.

The Stags have gotten off to a good start in this year’s NPC, with wins over Bay of Plenty and North Harbour.

They host neighbours Otago on Saturday.

    Overjoy
    I miss Skopskiet though!
Transie was also a passionate sports lover, he knew his rugby, for sure. Pity about the Malema streak in him, but we all have our little vices, it takes all kinds….

    @ Stormersboy:

Forget the catering contract for the SANDF.

Just get the one for the Presidential family unit.

    It’s bigger.

Clubhouse Zuma alone chows more than the entire Air Force.

    😆

    @ Stormersboy:
As inspector Clouseau stated: “Look be hind ze man, there is always ze woman…”. In Transie’s case and in Skoppies’, the inspector may have just about closed the case Wink

    @ Pietman:
Skop and I alternated between tolerating each other and having a go, with the occasional reconcilliatory gesture.

I don’t mind him at all, he was fun. Not to be taken seriously by anyone but himself.

There were some assholes on there, who I wouldn’t mind meeting in a dark alley one day.

But still, all in all you could avoid those who you didn’t want to engage with.

I still do that here with one or two.

Think our prez should have an extra shot of neat Stalichnaya vodka with his putu on the way back, the fickle populace await his arrival with sharpened spears….he will have to know his steps around the kraal and had better get out his well worn wedding Nikes for this one… poor man, eishhh.

I don’t about Stolly but I hear Julius is keen to light his Sambuca for him.

    😆

Skop was fun indeed, and Transie had a good sense of humour. But as you say some of those cretins like Capo, ET and SanLangkop clearly didn’t belong on a rugby site ,too bitterbek about the new SA….

    Long live the Hore!!!!!!!

I met Skopskiet and Transformation in real life.

Skoppie: an intense guy but I found him interesting, genuine and quite likeable. He held the same strong views than on the blog but did not express himself so “strongly”

Transformation: Met him and Lilly ( aka Hater) once in a pub in CT… very pleasant and knowledgeable guy…and his “off to gym” comments on Keo were possibly quite true as one can describe him physically as a Jimmy Stonehouse lite 🙂

Ja Transie is a good guy, most of the time, but his chip does show on occasion.

  • 435

    @ Stormersboy:

    You mean his slip.

    Surely?

    😆

    @ robzim:
Saw hater and her siste from a distance at WC 2010 in CT, wouldn’t say that that was the vicious tigress from Voldy!
Faark, she got into Dawn, Carol and ruck once with verbal abuse that would shock any bystander in Dock Rd at midnight…foul language like you wouldn’t believe coming from such a petite and nice looking woman….
But then, she is from Die Baai, jy weet!

Lol….. I remember that “argument”, it was a bit rough .

Dawn has probably forgiven Lilly as she was also present the day in CT and they got on quite well. Grant 10 and Just rugby were also there.

Carol cannot stand Lilly but has not met her personally.

In real life Lilly is quite charming and has beautiful eyes 🙂

I hope Mr T does not read this and hunt me down in CT.

  • 441

    Shaddup FOOL.

If transie is Mr T then fuckadilly is Howling Mad Murdoch.

    😆

  • 442

    @ robzim:

    Hahahaha sexy eyes.

    😆

  • 443

    Poor Riley Roussouw.

Two ducks in two games against the Zimbos.

That will put his career on hold for a while.

  • 444

    Proteas on the choke here.

Aussies practicing in the adjacent nets laughing openly.

    😆

  • 445

    @ gunther:
    Rossouw and Miller golden ducks?
    Still, 200 should be enough?

  • 446
