Possibly, Ireland, Ulster? Bullscot will know.
@ Tassies:
Hell Tassies, I was thinking of coming down December, but the daughter wants to go to Tukkies next year, so odds are I won’t be holidaying anything soon 😆
Anyway, the late Jinx really rated this boy as a Bok #8 of the future, the new Doug Hopwood, he called him.
@ Pietman:
Diack qualified for Ireland and has 1 test cap

@ Pietman: Yes that sounds about right. PR had three front-rankers who tipped the scales over 120kg and one was 135kg. Must have been that boy. His pa must have fed him whole skaaps for dinner. Nick was very talented but brittle. Was a farm boy from Robertson. Robzim would know more. Like you, he’s a walking wikipedia.

@ nortierd: Eina Nortie. Mine has just finished an ‘unbursaried’ Elec Eng at UCT plus an extra year doing a masters. Six years in total. Do you want to know what it costs? Because I don’t. I’d cry if I did a full recon. History now but I’m also feeling a tad financially historic.
Enjoy being poor. But good for her and worth the investment.
@ Pietman:
ahhaha

I had two of those, but now I am in the clear and they both are on their way in life.
Worth it, as you say.
So Piet, what happened to that little kroeg you owned/ran while you were living in Seoul? Can’t have been easy living in the Orient I’d imagine
@ Pietman:

@ Tassies:
Pete’s Place, in Daejeon?
Drank it dry with 30 other Saffas before I left in 2010 and sold it to a Canadian!
Was a nice investment though.
@ Pietman: Ja. Two are now self-sufficient and then there’s this(last) one. He’s just applied to BP for a position in their vast sustainable energy division. Into final selection now from an initial 1500 applicants. Its been fascinating to observe how corporate goes about this recruitment process in current times. I’m in small business so what would I know.
OK, I’m also out, cheers all.
@ Pietman: Pete’s Place? What happened to Piet’s Place?
Where the hell is Daejeon? Oh. I can Google Map it.
I’ve travelled all over China. Fifteen times at last count. Enough already. I could never live there. But then I never tried. Korea would be similiar I’d guess.
