Vodacom Blue Bulls captain and flank, Deon Stegmann, and hooker Bongi Mbonambi will face SARU disciplinary hearings on Tuesday after being cited following the team’s Currie Cup Premier Division clash against the EP Kings in Port Elizabeth on Friday.
Stegmann, received a Red Card for striking a player with his elbow at a ruck in the 69th minute, which was in breach of Law 10.4 (a), while Mbonambi received a Yellow Card in the 12th minute for charging into a ruck dangerously, which contravened Law 10.4 (h).

The players will appear at a SARU disciplinary hearing in Pretoria on Tuesday at 16:00 SA Time. Advocate Tokkie van Zyl has been appointed the judicial officer.
The Blue Bulls have received some good news as well, with Morne Mellett, Jesse Kriel and Callie Visagie all returning to training on Monday and being available for selection when the Blue Bulls play the Cell C Sharks in a Currie Cup match at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday (17:05 SA Time kick-off).
Mellett has recovered from a knee injury, Kriel had ankle troubles and Visagie missed last weekend’s win over the EP Kings due to a groin injury.
Three players will only train on Tuesday though. Grant Hattingh (hip), Dean Greyling (elbow) and Lohan Jacobs (hamstring) will sit out training on Monday, Blue Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed.
Jurgen Visser (foot, four months), Pierre Spies (bicep, 4 months), Arno Botha (knee, 3 months), Frik Kirsten (neck, 3 months), Jaco Visagie (knee, 3 months), Flip van der Merwe (knee, 3 months) and Hencus van Wyk (leg, 6 months) are on the long term injury list.
Deon deservedly deserves about 3-4 weeks, but I hope the officials coin toss works in his favour, also hope they take into account that his trangressions already cost the Bulls a point on the log.
Bongi did farkall wrong, the person that cited him deserves a four week ban.
