@ Pietman: you’re not lying there Piet. I was limited to a 1.8 VW ‘seen better days’ Kombi which also enjoyed a thirst. But not as bad as your steed. Luckily gas came at a miserly 14 cents/lit at the time. About the price of a pint of Lion Lager at Forries. And we were far more thirsty than the transport. 😆 Regularly spending the night in the car-park.
