Following an agreement between the South African Rugby Union (SARU) and the provincial unions, wing Lwazi Mvovo has been released to play in the Currie Cup for the Cell C Sharks this weekend.
Mvovo will train with the Sharks this week and join the Springbok squad in Cape Town on Sunday evening.

Due to injury concerns in other positions, Mvovo was the only player who was released this week.
In the coming fortnight four players not in an identified enlarged match-day squad of 26 will be released on the Wednesday of both Test weeks after conclusion of the day’s activities to join their respective provinces for the Currie Cup.
No wonder Macro is leading the Currie Cup pool on Bru, seems like he can predict the future.

The seven non playing members for last Saturday was Mvovo, Steyn, Reinach, Steenkamp, Britz, Botha and Mohoje. It is already known that Reinach will be called up to the match 23.JP Pietersen will most likely be in the match 23, with De Ellende dropping out. Francois Louw will probably be replaced by Willem Alberts, who will also be in the match 23. Thus the most likely 4 players to be released will be Mvovo, De Ellende, Mohoje and one of the overseas players. Another thinking line might be to release the four overseas players, a good idea.
